    Woman: Hi, I’m Gwyneth.

    Alice: I’m Alice, this is Dana.

    Dana: Hi.

    Gwyneth: I’m guessing you’re not from round here?

    Alice: That obvious?

    Gwyneth: Yeah. For the record, he was asking if you had a cigarette.

    Dana: I had no idea; does everyone here talk like that?

    Gwyneth: Not everyone. Most people do, but not all. What brings you to sunny old Barnsley?

    Alice: We’re on vacation.

    Gwyneth: Why come here then?

    Dana: Why does no one understand why we would come here?

    The woman looked at Dana, confused and a little annoyed that Dana had snapped at the woman slightly. Dana sensed the sudden tension and apologised quickly.

    Dana: Sorry, it’s just that our neighbours at the house we’re staying in don’t seem to understand either.

    Gwyneth: It’s not that I don’t understand. I just thought if people came over from America, they would go to London or somewhere like that, not Barnsley.

    Alice: Like we told our neighbours, we like to travel. This was one of the places we wanted to go, so here we are. Anyway, how come you don’t talk like him?

    Alice pointed over to the guy they had previously spoke to, who was still hassling a woman if they had a cigarette.

    Gwyneth: I’m originally from America. I moved over here after meeting an English man on holiday there. We fell in love, and I moved here, simple as that.

    Dana: Married?

    Gwyneth: Engaged.

    The woman held her left hand up and pointed to the ring on her finger. They spoke some more, before parting ways. Gwyneth off to do her shopping, and Alice and Dana to explore some more. While they were walking, Alice spotted a large supermarket from the corner of her eye. She looked up at Dana and saw that she wasn’t paying attention.

    Alice: Dane?

    Dana looked down at Alice and smiled.

    Dana: Yeah?

    Alice: There’s a supermarket there, I think. Maybe we could do our shopping there. It looks big enough.

    Dana looked over at the supermarket, which had a large sign saying ‘Morrisons’. They were guessing it was a food store, but they had to go in to find out. Dana looked down at Alice and nodded, turning Alice’s wheelchair in the direction of the supermarket. They crossed the road and made their way into the supermarket. It was fairly large inside, but looked smaller on the inside than on the outside. They began browsing the store, looking for whatever they could eat for the next week. They had planned to go on a large shop once a week, to make sure they had enough food. There were smaller shops closer to their house, in case they needed essentials. After much refusal from Alice, Dana finally managed to persuade Alice to get a salad as there was a salad bar, where you could get whatever you wanted. They then made their way to the meat section, where they got some ham, chicken pieces and after much refusal from Dana, Alice had persuaded her to get some Billy Bear ham.

    1. Very nice chapter, of course, it is strange that they were on vacation in such a weird place, but my question is will Lara find where they are? what did really happen to her? how she survived the fight with Aidan? which side is Aidan and what are his intentions?
