Bette: “wait, he is really dead, I buried him five years ago”
Phyllis: “no…, but we’ll discuss that later, who was he?”
Bette: “he was a lawyer, a good man.”
Phyllis: “but…”
Bette: “well…, he disapproved of my lifestyle and sexual orientation.”
Phyllis: “not exactly…, but he was a very smart man, you got that from him…, but you are smarter and more talented, that witch wanted you in her collection…, the witch wanted a sports champion too…, who has a triangular flag symbol?”
Dana: “that’s me.”
Phyllis: “you’re a natural athlete, it came to you from your mother, and the evil likes champions…, but evil needs publicity…, who has a stick with two lines crossing in one end?”
Alice: “I believe that’s engraved in my stone.”
Phyllis: “what do you do for a living?”
Alice: “I’m a reporter, have a small TV show, every two weeks.”
Phyllis: “you’re just starting, you’ll be famous, and that’s why they wanted you…, but evil also wanted someone with multiple talents… who has crossed blades?”
Shane: “I have something like an X.”
Phyllis: “then, it’s you, very talented in many things…, even in love.”
Alice: “that’s Shane.”
Phyllis: “well, here is the deal, we’ll remove most of the burden this infection is causing you; you will be able to walk without dark glasses in daylight; no need to drink blood, no sensitivity to silver or holly water, garlic, or stakes. You’ll conserve your strength, speed, long sight, and most importantly, your soul…, but there is a price you must pay.”
Helena: “wait…, I thought my mother made all payments for this ritual.”
Phyllis: “your mom may pay for the food, the concoctions, the use of the place and tools, and our time and transportation, but nobody but you could pay for what you will receive and the affliction you will be relieved from; your soul is not for granted anymore, you must work to keep it in yourselves.”
Bette: “and what is the price we have to pay.”
Phyllis: “you’ll need to fight evil, protect people and rescue the ones who still have a soul but are under evil’s power.”
Shane: “and how are we supposed to do that?”
Phyllis: “simple, joining forces with good witches and other vamps like you.”
Alice: “you mean that we’ll never stop being vamps?”
Phyllis: “yes, but you’ll learn to live with that, not all vampires are evil or bad; there is a large community of good vampires with souls, and as in any other community, there are good and vicious vampires.”
Dana: “that’s not what I was expecting for these rituals.”
Phyllis: “well, this is what we can offer you, take it or leave it.”

Alice… Alice…. no one promised to make you human again. They purposed that they would make your life better – stronger, and abilities to escape some of the problems of being a vampire… but they never suggested that they could cure you… so as Phyllis say – take the offer or leave it.. Sounds like an improvement of your current life to me. So I’d go with the flow and accept this ritual….
