Tina grabbed Bette’s hand

“We know you will Bub.  We will talk to you both tomorrow” Tina said as Bette covered her face with her free hand

“Ok..Bye Moms” he said ending the call

There was silence between the two for a moment before Bette started laughing to keep from crying

“Oh My God Tee?.  Can you believe we are going to be grandparents.  We have gone from being future in laws of our daughter’s fiancé to future grandparents of our son’s child in less than ten minutes. ” she said laughing hysterically and wiping tears from her eyes.  She looked over at Tina who was hesitating laughing with her but couldn’t help herself and eventually joined in

“I don’t even know what to say Bette” Tina said as both their laughing intensified.  “I honestly don’t think I could handle anymore surprises for the rest of the year. I’ve already met my quota in one day” she says wiping tears from her eyes with her fingers

“More like in ten minutes” Bette corrected as their laughter continued and trailed out beyond the sliding glass doors where Angie and Morgan were sitting loved up on one of the chaise lounge chairs that surrounded the pool

“Your Moms have fun don’t they? I hope that will be us one day ” Morgan says rubbing Angie’s shoulder

Angie lifted her head to look at her “Me too.  But really that’s not typical of them to do.  They usually don’t carry on laughing like that”

“Well whatever it is must be hysterical” Morgan said chuckling and kissing Angie on the forehead

Angie smiled and gave Morgan a lingering kiss on her lips which was interrupted by her cellphone ringing. She reluctantly pulls away “I guess I should see who that it is.  It might be work” she says grabbing her phone from her back pants pocket.

“It’s baby bro” she says before answering it “Hey. What’s up?”

“Hey sis” he says nervously

Angie looks at Morgan “What’s wrong?”

“Uhmm….Well?….Uh” he stammers

“Spit it out Hayden”. Angie says rolling her eyes

“Well you are going to be Aunt”

Angie jumped out of Morgan’s arms and off the chaise lounge to her feet “I’m what!” she exclaimed loud enough that Tina opened the sliding glass door to see what was going on
