There was no way for Tina to recover from the question. The complex wave of emotion swelled and was about to wreak havoc on Tinas psyche. Her stomach began to turn over, she felt her temperature rise, and her throat was immediately dry. Nya realized shed asked a question worse than her initial and tried to withdraw it.
Tina, listen, she squeezed Tinas hand. I think Ive overstepped my bounds. You dont have to answer that at all. Just forget I asked. Im sorry, Nya sincerely voiced.

Tina excused herself to the ladies room leaving Nya to berate herself for being so inquisitive. When Tina returned, she asked if they could leave and take a walk. Nya agreed and they walked the promenade in silence until felt comfortable in speaking.

Nya, I wont lie, you packed a mean punch with that question and from where you stand I guess it was a valid one, Tina spoke into the night. I do think you were a little presumptuous to ask, but I cant say that you were wrong to want to know. Actually, youre the only I told about it, so I guess it was kind of a cleansing if you will.

Nya held onto Tinas arm, making her stop in her tracks. Tina, I really didnt mean to offend or insult you. Please know that. Tina nodded unable to say anything else and the tears rolled down her cheeks. Nya felt the tugging on her heartstrings and pulled Tina into a tight embrace.
