Turn About Is Fair Play – CH67 (repost)
Okay, thats fair, Nya eased Tina out of her arms. I can appreciate that. Maybe we should head home huh?
Nya and Tina walked back to their cars, hugged, and parted ways. The evening didnt turn out as either might have thought, but at least something good came out of it. Tina needed to step up her game and make a move one way or another.
The next morning
Tina woke up with more on her mind than just going to the office. She felt like she need to take the day off just to think, but shed only been on the job for one day. Nya left her with much to think about in addition to facing the demons she had been ignoring. Nya reminded her of Eric with her directness, but also the ease she felt in being herself in spite of her issues. Neither of them made her feel like she was inadequate or undermined her. It was still early, but Tina needed to talk to someone.
Hi Eric, its Tina.
Hey friend, Erics sleepy, but cheery greeting made her not feel so bad for calling.
Im sorry for calling so early, but I needed someone to talk to. Got a minute?
Of course. Now tell me whats going on, Eric encouraged.
Uhm? Well, I, Im a little confused with my life right now, Tina struggled with how to start.
Start anywhere.
Okay, Tina paused. Bette and I are still separated. I met someone recently and we seem to have bonded in some way and she likes me a lot and I think I like her too, Tina raced. Also, I slept with Bette even though were supposed to be working on our friendship, not intimacy, Tina hastily volunteered before she lost the nerve.
Anything else?
Uh? I started my new job and I like it so far with the exception of a very forward woman who flirts with me. I think thats it, Tina sighed and waited for Erics reply.
Eric breathed loudly and cleared his throat. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate Tina, but its nothing you cant handle, Eric stated firmly. All you have to do is take each situation, weigh the pros and cons, and then move on with it.
