    Previously …

     

    So Donna and Melissa took off on the jet ski, while Bette and Tina entertained Hannah on the beach.  They giggled and played in the sand for a while before Hannah fell asleep in Tina’s arms.

     

    “I think she’s out” Tina told Bette.

     

    “Can’t blame her.  I love to fall asleep in your arms too” Bette told her.

     

    They looked at each other for a minute before Bette leaned over and kissed her. 

     

    “Thank you” Tina told her.  “This is wonderful to get away and be together.”

     

    “I love you sweetheart.  And I’m sorry about the hours I’ve been keeping.  I hope you know that is time I would rather be spending with you.” 

     

    “I know.  Come on, help me up.  Let’s go put this little Angel down so she can rest better.”

     

    Bette helped Tina up and they headed back to the house.  They put Hannah down and then got themselves comfortable, snuggling on the couch.

     

     

     

     

    Donna and Melissa returned a few minutes later to see Hannah still asleep and Bette and Tina making out on the couch.  They tried to sneak through quietly, not wanting to disrupt the lovers.

     

    “Hey girls” Tina said breathlessly, having just pulled away from Bette’s lips.

     

    “Hey.  Sorry, we tried not to bother you” Donna explained.

     

    “It’s ok.  We really should have gone to the other room, but we didn’t want to be too far away in case Hannah woke up” Bette explained.

     

    The four of them spent the next while on the back porch, talking and laughing.  They spent the evening cooking.  Bette was outside at the grill kept company by Donna and Hannah, while Tina and Melissa handled all the kitchen dishes.

     

    “This is really great, thanks so much for inviting us along” Donna told Bette.

     

    “I’m just glad you all could join us.  I know Tina’s been a little frustrated at my schedule, which I’m sure you’ve probably heard all about.”

     

    Donna acknowledges that with just a smile.

     

    “And I wanted a chance to get away.  And it’s always more fun with friends.  And my favorite little girl” Bette says as she picks Hannah up and holds her high above her head.  Hannah giggles at her.

    10. I was a happy camper when I saw that you had posted. It takes me awhile to read but I did and I very much enjoyed this chapter. Bette and Tina are going to make good parents whether they adopt or have one of their own.
