    US.II *^Meet The Schecters^*

Little Bette was sound asleep on the couch in her night tees seems she wasnt planning on going. Tina picked her up carefully and kissed her on the forehead as she carried her in her own bedroom. It was the resemblance between them that made her want o cry, her pain and suffering in life was all for this child to be born; Bette will never know the pain until she has felt it herself, maybe that will come sooner tonight.

She shut the door quietly and walked quietly around the house, was losing Bette over someone like Candace worth ittruly worth it?

Her eyes immediately went to the front door as it opened

Hi Sly walked in a bit disoriented; her clothes where of like something you see only in the movies, Your door was unlocked.

I know I was waiting on Bettewhats wrong, jeez you look like *****.

Sly took a couple of steps in then collapsed onto the sofa, Tina hurried to her side and raised her face to meet hers, Sly you okay?

Her pupils where very huge, and dilated, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a prescription pill bottle and read it.

Whoa! Time out! Sleeping pills, Sly are you crazy, how many did you take? Tina sat her up and ran into the kitchen to get some coffee,

Sly slurred and shook her head, Three, I was having an crazy nightmare and just took some so I could sleep, but that was like a while ago She sub consciously drifted back to sleep.

Tina ran back into the living room and shook her back to life, Stay awake, you are suppose to meet Jennys parents, do you know how you look. Sly smiled and slapped herself.

ParentsI remember when I had those.

Okay, lets get you some coffee. Tina poured them both some, it was going to be a long day. Sly quickly drunk hers down in one gulp, Jennys parentscrap, their not going to like me anyway.

Of course they wont, thats when you have to show them that you actually love Jenny. Tina sauntered off and brought out a tie. Let me put this on you.

She easily slipped the silk tie around Slys neck and under her black buttoned shirt; not noticing that Bette had quietly entered her home.

    1. At first I liked the story, but as I read further I became offended by the lack of research you did on writing this. I’m not here to start an argument by any means, though. I just want to point out a few things. You had Jenny’s dad make a cross sign over his chest. That is something Catholic’s do and a Jew would never do that. This is how you spell: Barmitzvah. Mari isn’t orthodox. The only way a Jewish woman would be named Mary is if it was the Jewish version “Miriam.” And I did not understand any of the ‘yiddish’ words you wrote. Were you thinking of Meshuginuh? It means crazy. Your story plot was good, but the Jewish content was not accurate, but if you were to continue this story I would be happy to help you out with any info, as I myself am Jewish. And I just want to say to everyone that reads this that not all Orthodox families are that judgemental. My Aunt is orthodox and she has given me several connections into the lesbian community and even has many lesbian friends. Besides all that, you do have a nice comedic style of writing. Thank you.

    2. damn im so so sorry Rainbow, and yes im planing on keeping them in my stories , and yes i would love for you to help me out with this, sorry that you where offended man

    3. It’s just important that you make sure the information your writing about is correct, when you are writing about a certain group of people, you know? A lot of people who were in the consentration camps were raped, and I don’t think Jenny’s father (if in real life) would have said that he would rather be raped than be in the camps, because everything bad happened there, and I personally believe being raped cannot be compared to the torture in that tragic time because they are two seperate issues. I think both of her parents would be much more supportive and caring about both her lesbianism and her being raped. Anyways, if you want to include any Yiddish in your next story, I have a resource book you can try to find online…”The Joys of Yiddish” by Leo Rosten. Also if you’d like to use any Hebrew you can find words and English translations in the Hebrew-English dictionary by Ben Yehuda. If you have anymore questions about Jewish traditions and/or heritage please feel free to email me at gary_meow@sbcglobal.net

    4. Just one more suggestion, if you need to look up any information on Judaism, why not do a search through Google or Yahoo? To make sure the sites are legit, just go to the sites that are sponsored by the search engines. Good Luck!
