    Bette’s POV

    After saying goodbye to Jodi at the airport,  I was on my way to meet Helena at the Planet.  I had gotten a call from her after Jodi and I left The Hammer last night.  I left Angie with Kit who said she would bring her to the Planet later when she was ready to come in.  I’m so grateful for Kit.  She and I have had our issues in the past but she has been there for me whenever I have needed her the last few years.

    I park on the side of the Planet and walk inside taking my shades off as I spot Helena at table near the back. Like way out of sight.  I swear this Catherine woman has her paranoid as hell.  I can even see on her face she isn’t even confident about meeting with me but I take this as a sign she is ready to break away from this succubus. And I’m going to help in any way I can

    I approach her cautiously like I’m scaring some kind of wild game and she tentatively motions for me to sit down.  Who knew that me and Helena Peabody would be sitting down at table together instead of throwing it at each other.

    I set my purse down in the chair beside me and looked at Helena supportively

    “I’m glad you called me Helena” I say honestly and was glad she had reached out to me

    Helena shifts her eyes around wearily and shrugs “I’m in a world of shit Bette”

    “I have gathered that from what Peggy and everyone else has told me.  What is going on Helena?”

    Helena fidgets slightly in her seat as the waiter approaches

    “What can I get for you ladies?”

    Helena waved him off but I knew she needed some caffeine

    “Two coffees please” I order and he nods as he leaves

    “I didn’t take you for a caffeine junkie Porter” Helena slightly smirked which I returned right back to her

    “I’m not.  The other one is for you Peabody.  It looks like you could use a good shot of some”

    Helena scoffs “More like if I could purge myself from the abyss I found myself in”

      I really love this Bette and Tina and so look forward to joining them on their journey to forging a great friendship back to each other.

    2. Wow, so much going on…. Henry and Jodi are now out of the picture…. Helena is in trouble and Bette and Tina are going to the rescue. I wonder what in the world Bette has in mind. The story indicates that Bette very well may lose, but Bette seems okay with that….what could she possibly be up to?

      Looks like Bette and Tina are proceeding down good paths for themselves except possibly this mission for Helena. I hope this works out well for Bette and Tina and Angie. But normally people who are as deceptive as Catherine have Teflon coatings and usually bad stuff just slides off of them. This could be dangerous for Bette, Tina and Angie. Hope to find out in the next chapter…

      Henry and Jody are out of the picture, now first building a solid friendship between Bette and Tina and then moving on to rebuild their relationship.

      Bette Porter is going to challenge Catharina for a all or nothing poker game?! I would place my money on Bette!

    5. Loving this, can’t wait to see how Bette and Tina progress. Glad Henry and Jodi aren’t in the picture any more ! Can’t wait to hear how Bette gets on at poker, perhaps a Las Vegas croupier in a previous life ?? Can’t wait for next post, take care …
