Chapter 13

Western Skies Ranch, morning: A car parks in front of the house and a redhead woman in her forties steps out. From the production cabin, Jen notices her.

Jen – Oh fuck! The shit is gonna to hit the fan!

The woman looks around and makes her way to Wendy’s trailer.

Western Skies Ranch, morning: Tina parks her car and walks toward the production cabin. Wendy runs out of her trailer toward her.

Wendy – You couldn’t keep your mouth shut, could you?

The blonde stops.

Tina – What?!

Wendy – You had to tell my mom!

The blonde sighs.

Tina – I had to tell your manager. She happens to be your mom.

Wendy – She is here now!

Tina – Good! If you need adult supervision, she is the right person!

Wendy – You need to tell her to go away! I can’t concentrate when she is around me!

They stare at each other.

Wendy – Please …

Tina – If you promise no more surprises … I’ll talk to her.

At that moment, Wendy’s mom appears on the trailer window and waves to Tina.

Wendy’s mom – Hi, Tina!

The two women turn to her. The producer waves back with a smile.

Tina – Hi, Emma! Welcome to the set!

Emma – Thanks!

Wendy turns to the blonde.

Wendy – Tell her!

She turns around and returns to the trailer. The blonde rolls her eyes and enters the production cabin.

Tina’s office, morning: Tina steps into her office and sits on her chair when Jen show up.

Jen – What are you going to do?

Tina – About what?

Jen – Wendy’s mom! I saw Wendy talking to you.

The producer types on her computer.

Tina – Nothing right now … Let her learn her lesson! I may talk to her later.

Western Skies valley, afternoon: The crew is filming a scene in the valley. In the scene, Wendy and the Hispanic actor, Mario, are galloping horses in the vast expanse. Emma is present watching her daughter.

The actors do not look at ease with the horses and Brian cuts the scene several times in a row. Tina watches with a frown.
