What If – Chapter 15
Lara: [rising her glass] Cheers!
Leslie: Okay, well let me go and get dressed.
Lara: Okay, well while you do that I’ll make you a drink just in case.
Leslie: [shakes her head in shame] Oh, and we may need to skip the pedicure.
Lara: Why?
Leslie: Because no matter how bad I feel, I wouldn’t force my own worse enemy to work on those eagle claws you call feet.
Lara: Say, what you want but my man loves them!
Leslie: Ewwww!
Lara: Now, hurry up so we can go!
Leslie: Yeah…yeah, I’m going, I’m going.
Alice…..
Alice: [the disgusted look on her face spoke volumes as she couldn’t fathom how the escalator she was on could move any slower, it was just a continuation of the hellish day she was having]
It all began when she was informed by her lawyer a defamation lawsuit had been filed against her (a civil offense). If she were found guilty it wouldn’t result in jail time, but she could be sued in civil court and forced to pay the person suing her. Being in the gossip and entertainment business she was no stranger to these types of lawsuits. The Look, was the number one talk show which was great for ratings and popularity, but due to its large success it also made the show a target. However, this particular lawsuit was different mainly because it was filed on behalf of none other than Lara Perkins. Not only was she seeking to sue her for defamation but for alienation of affection as well.
Although, she had never verbally slandered her reputation she had in fact intentionally harm it by having an affair with Dana. According to her lawyer, the claim held no legal merit and could not be proven. Furthermore, although it is an actually law in some states California’s legislation did not recognize it as such. Relieved, by the news subconsciously she was still written by guilt. Lara filing such a claim was evident she was hurt beyond measure and it only made her think how hurt Tasha was going to be when she found out. Hoping to call or talk to her before news of the lawsuit leaked, as she entered her car while dialing her number she accidently dropped her cell phone on the concrete in the driveway shattering it into pieces. To make matters worse, shortly after she discovered she had left her lights on and her car wouldn’t start. Sure, all it needed was a jump and as simple as that sounded she had no idea how to do it. Luckily, her neighbor Rachel who was just as “mechanically clueless” was home and was kind enough to lend her phone so she could call an Uber. Three in a half hours later there she was standing, on an escalator.

Hi Skunk:
Thanks for this really funny chapter. I hope things will get better for Bette and Tina, and they could patch up their relationship.
I have my doubts about Alice and Tasha and Lara and Dana.
If Jenny was going to be at Shane’s party there will be hell to pay. Lol.
Waiting for the next chapter
P

Thanks for the another chapter!

Hi SKUNKPU80,
That was a very funny update, i loved the conversation between Tina & Kit, hilarious ????
I really hope that Bette &Tina are finally going to talk and solve their problems, their marriage is at stake and as a true Tibetter i am worried. Bette filing a missing person report was funny.
I hope the other couples are going to talk and sort out their relationships, but i don’t see a future between Alice & Tasha and Lara & Dana. But maybe you will surprise us.
Thank you for the update! I am looking forward to the next chapter!
Hey Bibi!!!! Thanks for reading as always and the support. I have no idea what’s going to happen either writing the conversation for Kit and Tina was fun again thanks for following the story!
