James: [in a smug tone] My girlfriend seems to like them.

Mr. Zao: Girlfriend, you don’t say? [he looks towards Bette for confirmation]

Bette: She has a pothole for a vag—.

James: Bette!

Bette: What!? What did I say!?

Mr. Zao: Ahhhhh, then that explains it.

James: [had a puzzled look on his face]

Mr. Zao: Gladly.

James: [following behind them both mumbled every curse word known to man under his breath]

Bette: [opening the main door steps to the side then extends her hand] Mr. Zao, it was my pleasure.

Mr. Zao: Likewise, I hope to hear from you by weeks end with a favorable response I hope?

Bette: I hope so too and thank you for your patience. [both she and James watched as Mr. Zao entered his Lincoln Town Car eventually driving off]

James: What an ass!?

Bette: That he is but a very smart ass.

James: So, what did he say?

Bette: [sighing] That he really wants me take the job.

James: [smiling at her] Why, Bette Porter you must be hot shit!?

Bette: [popping her collar smugly] Tell a friend! Tell a friend! I have until the end of the week to give him my answer if I pass on the position he’s going to offer the job to Kelly Wentworth.

Bette: Tell me about it, but Mr. Zao is a very wise man [she pauses to smirk while shaking her head] he didn’t have to tell me who his second choice was.

James: Wait, I’m confused.

Bette: You wake up, put on purple pants I’m assuming to channel your inner Barney and now you think you’re confused!?

James: Awwww, look my middle finger likes you!

Bette: And antibiotics and penicillin likes your girlfriend.
