“What’s going to happen to us Lara when you can’t pry yourself away from your work for five minutes?”

“Dane, it’s not like that, “she says standing to her feet walking towards her, “I told you going into this I was doing it for the both if us not just me.”

“Us, it hasn’t felt like “us” since we got here we spent one day together and since then everything we have done has been separate like seriously Lara why did you even bother asking me to come? Why am I even here?”

“Dana, how can you ask me a question like that, “she says with hurt in her voice, “I want you here by my side to walk this journey with me!”

“It doesn’t feel like our journey more like your journey and I’m just along for the ride! I get it Lara, I get that you have to put in long hour days but what I can’t understand is when you walk through that door why does your long days have to continue? It feels like that’s all you care about and I feel completely ignored!”

“Dana, what OMG that’s so untrue!”

“Really?”

“Yes!”

“You’ve been home approximately three hours and have yet to notice I lightened my hair.”

“Babe what?”

“My hair, I had Shane lightened my hair for me but you would have noticed that if you hadn’t been ignoring me!” Lara looking at her hair immediately takes a deep sigh mad at herself for not noticing it earlier on her own. Seeing the expression on her face Dana knew if she didn’t remove herself from the situation she was going to say something she would regret. Shaking her head in disappointment she walks away into their bedroom slamming the door shut behind her. Lara following behind her reaches for the door knob but is disappointed to discover it was locked. Leaning her head against the door now more than ever she feared telling her the truth about the gala. Walking away she sits down on the couch tilting her head over the couch. Twenty minutes passed before she heard the bedroom fly open. Dana emerging from the bedroom was fully dressed with an Adidas gym bag draped over her shoulder. Completely ignoring Lara she walks passed her grabs the keys sitting on the mantle and proceeds to walk towards the door.
