“Yes, it is, “she says leaning over giving her a peck on the lips. What started with a small peck on the lips grew into much more. There at the dining room table with their mouths they ravaged each other. Standing to her feet Tina removes the belt holding Bettes robe closed. Before she could remove it completely from her body they hear a knock on the door.

“Good grief could her timing be any worse, “Bette says irritated by the interruption. While she fixed her clothes Tina left to open the door. Looking out the peephole to make sure it was Dana she opens the door.

“Hey, “Dana says somberly.

“Hey, Dana come on in Bettes in the kitchen.”

“Bettes up, “she whispers.

“Yup.”

“She’s pissed isn’t she?”

“Nooooooooooooo not at all, “Tina says sarcastically walking into the kitchen

“Hey Dane.”

“Bette sorry for waking you up I was desperate I just couldn’t stay under the same roof with her tonight.”

“What’s really going on between you two? I mean since you guys been here we haven’t seen Lara once.” Dana removing her bag from her shoulder drops it on the kitchen floor then takes a seat at the table.

“It’s a long story, “she says taking a deep breath. Tina walking towards the cabinet grabs a coffee mug then fills it up with coffee. Bringing it with her along with some cream and sugar she places it in front of Dana then takes a seat next to Bette.

“Look, I’m not trying to pry in your business or anything but just know were always here if you need to talk about it.”

“Yeah, Dane just because you live on the other side of the ocean and we don’t see you every day doesn’t mean we stopped being your friend were just worried that’s all, “Tina says chiming in, “By the way I love the new hair color.”

“Yeah, me too it looks really good on you.”

“OMG! You noticed my hair color!?”

“Uh, yeah like how could I not it’s the first thing I noticed when I opened the door.”

“Yup, I noticed it too as soon as you walked into the kitchen.”

“See! See, that’s what I’m talking about, “she says reaching for a pack of sugar, “Lara, had been home for three hours and hadn’t notice a thing! I mean that’s what she does she comes home from spending all day in meetings and putting her restaurant together and completely ignores me. Her phone is constantly going off and she stays on that stupid laptop of hers all freaking night. We’ve only spent time together one day since we arrived and you know what——–, “she says pausing before continuing, “It sucks it just really sucks!” Both Tina and Bette look at each worriedly remaining quiet allowing their friend to vent. The longer Dana spoke the irritation Bette once felt was gone, her friend was genuinely hurting.
