“Why couldn’t you tell me that? I mean of course I would have been hurt but I would have handled it much better than I did.”

“I don’t know but I should have.”

“Did you ever love me Dane?”

“Of course I did.”

“I mean not how I love Bette, Tina, Shane, and the rest of the gang but were you actually in love with me?”

“Yes, “she says in a stern confident tone.

“Which brings me to my next question what the hell are we doing?”

“What do you mean?”

“We hangout, we’ve had sleep overs, we text, phone chat, talk on the phone it feels like we’re——.”

“Dating, “she says completing her sentence.

“Yeah, it feels like were dating and although I enjoy spending time with you sub-consciously I feel so guilty…….Tasha doesn’t even know you’re here let alone know we have been hanging out. What really makes me feel like crap is feeling like I’m doing the same to her as you did to me.”

“Why, haven’t you told her?”

“Amongst other things I haven’t been a good girlfriend to her lately and the reason is I don’t want to have to tell her about you for fear of hurting her so I have been avoiding her I can hear it in her voice when we talk she knows something is wrong.”

“Sounds familiar.”

“What does?

“You’re reasoning…..despite the bad deposition Lara and I are currently in I haven’t told her either.”

“Is that why you haven’t bought Lara around keeping her at bay?”

“No, Lara is the one keeping Lara at bay.”

“Have you told her me and you have been hanging out?”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“Because I’m upset with her for other things and the moment I do she’ll think it was done out of spite to intentionally hurt her mainly for not attending Bettes gala.”

“Is there any truth to that?”

“I don’t know……but what I do know is when we broke up things got pretty nasty and there was so much left unsaid mainly me telling you that I’m sorry, “she says taking her hand into hers.

“Dane, I forgave you a long time ago.”

“But I’ve never forgiven myself.”

“Well, you should.”

“I’m working on it.

“So, what now?”

“I’m never going to stop loving you Al, never and I not just saying that because things are bad with Lara but I mean I will forever and always love you, “she says bringing her hands up to her lips then kissing them.

“I love you to Dane.”

“I’m glad we were finally able to talk about this.”

“Me too.”

“Is there anything else you want to ask me or want to know?”

“No, “she says smiling at her, “Do you want to ask me something?”

“There is one thing?”

“I’m all ears.”

“Once, this or however you want to define it as is over would you consider coming to visit London?”

“Oh, wow I would love too of course.”

“Good……now, what do you we enjoy this boat ride, look at some fish, have us another drink, and enjoy the rest of this trip.”

“Sounds like a plan, “she says as she allowed Dana to help her to her feet. Together they walked towards the giant glass at the bottom of the boat. The glass allowed a clear vision of the water beneath them allowing everyone to see the fish and other sea creatures below. Grateful, for finally having the talk they enjoyed other activities the island had to offer and capped off their min-vacation with dinner at a nice restaurant. As they departed the last boat to leave the island they held hands and found two love seats on the side of the boat. As the boat zipped through the water crashing against the waves the soothing motion caused Alice to rest her head on her shoulders, eventually falling asleep. Wrapping her arm around her Dana held her close enjoying the moment.
