”What do you mean Bette is MIA?” Tina asked
Alice rolled her eyes.
”You Southerners aren’t very smart are you. MIA means Missing-”
”I know what the fuck it means Alice!.. I meant why doesn’t anyone know where Bette is and why did she and Stephanie break up?”
”You sure do ask a lot of questions. I haven’t been able to get Bette in a few days. I don’t know why they broke up. But if I had to guess it would be because of you” Alice answered grabbing her purse and heading to the door
Tina stopped her before she walked out
”Wait? What do you mean because of me?” Tina asked curiously
”Jesus Christ Tina! Porter is in love with you! Now I’m going to go find her” Alice responded and then headed out the door.
Tina grabbed her purse and followed behind her shutting the door on her way out

”Well? Her car is here” Alice said as she and Tina walked up to Bette’s apartment.
Tina watched as Alice dug around in the flower bed coming back up with a key.
”Not the most logical place to hide a key but most people wouldn’t want to dig around in dirt so Bette hides her’s here in the flower bed” Alice explained as Tina chuckled.
Alice knocked on the door a couple of times and after no response she used her key and opened the door.
”Bette?” Alice called out flipping the living room light on and scanning around
”You think she’s here?” Tina said scanning the room herself
”Well? Her car is here. Unless she went somewhere with someone else” Alice answered as they walked toward the bedroom.
”Bette?” Alice called out as she pushed the bedroom door open.
It was dark so Alice flipped on the light and saw a lump in the bed.
”Porter! Thank God! But get your ass up out of that bed” Alice exclaimed relieved
Bette groaned pulling the covers over her head.
”Go away Al” Bette said groggily
Alice jumped on the bed bouncing Bette up and down
”Al Stop! Get out!” Bette ordered raising her head and locking eyes with Tina. ”Shit” she muttered and lowered her head back on the bed covering it back up

Poor Stephanie but i am glad Bette was honest with her and broke it off.
I love Alice in this story and that’s unique because i dislike Alice in general.
Tina made up her mind and went to get what she wanted and that is one Bette Porter! Now make sure she isn’t going to break Bette’s heart again!

Well a double post which really moved things along. Concerned it may be moving too quickly but willing to go along for the ride.
I stand corrected. She surprised me in talking to Stephanie (what a thing to hear the 1st thing in the morning).
Will have to get to know “this” Bette.
WOW! Falling in love so quickly was like a speeding locomotive. Please don’t let Eric, Helena, Jodi, Henry or Candace into their lives. I like stories like this that don’t have long and drawn out slow burns. These two hit the ground running. Thank you
Great story ! Am loving the relationship between Bette and Tina, so early on. Let’s hope they go from strength to strength? Sounds like there’s a lot of love there already and will grow. Love Alice being there, she never seems far from Bette and Tina and always gives the lighter side to a story especially with her interactions with Bette can’t wait to read more , stay safe
