“Understood Bette, take your time and I’ll hold the fort. Let me know what the results are, please Bette. You’re family, I do care.”

“Thank you James, I will let you know.”

Bette ended the conversation and called her sister.
“Goodmorning baby sis, what’s up?”

“Kit. The doctor just called, they saw something on the CT-scan and they want Tina to come to the hospital asap. I have a weird feeling about this.”

“Stay calm Bette, I’ll see you two at the hospital. How’s Tina?”

Bette looked at Tina who sat on the bed with a very pale face.

“She looks pale, Kit. I’m gonna get her going. See you at the hospital.”
“Honey, come on, get ready. The sooner we get to the hospital, the sooner we’ll know what it is they saw.”
After Kit finished talking to Bette, she prepared herself to leave. She thought back to the Fridaynight dinner at her sister’s place. How happy Tina and Bette looked. She hoped, no she wished that it wasn’t anything serious. No it couldn’t be something serious!

At the hospital:

The three women met at the hospital. Soon after Tina signed up at the front desk, she was called by doctor Harris.

“Goodmorning ladies, would you like to follow me to my office?”

Bette and Tina followed doctor Harris to his office……………

In the office Tina and Bette sat down and were eager to hear what it was that doctor Harris need to tell them.

“First of all ms. Kennard, your blood tests came out good, so you don’t need to worry about that. But the CT-scan is something different. Let me show you.”

The doctor turned to the screen where a copy of Tina’s scan was already hanging. He explained what they were looking at. They were looking at her brains. Normally everything should be black, indicating that all is normal. Now there were some white spots indicating that there was fluid in those parts of her brain, that shouldn’t be there.
Since Tina couldn’t recall how she got into the accident, doctor Harris didn’t know if the fluid being there was caused by the accident or that she possibly had a stroke that caused Tina to have the car accident. When he assumed that Tina might had a stroke, both Tina and Bette looked startle.
Tina got a stroke but how? She lived a healthy life.
