When You Least Expect It – Chapter 13
"Bette Porter, this is-"
"I know who he is" Bette immediately cut in, the sharp tone in her voice made Tina’s blood run cold. She watched as the brunette stared at the man beside her with an intense hatred in her brown eyes. Never before had Tina ever seen such a look before, not from Bette or anyone. "What is he doing here?"
"I was just-"
"I wasn’t talking to you" Bette snapped at the man who had so timidly tried to offer an explanation. She showed him no mercy, the anger she felt towards this man growing with each passing second. She looked away from him to meet Tina’s gaze, the questioning look in her eyes mixed together with the anger already present.
Tina wanted to go back in time 10 minutes. Just 10 measly minutes when she and Bette were together in Angie’s room, wrestling laughing and sexy in love. She’d give anything to see that look in Bette’s eyes again, the one filled with mischief and lust, the one that was filled with so much warmth from her love it often made Tina weak in the knees.
She would have given anything to see that look on Bette’s face again, anything except for the one she was receiving at that very moment. God knows what Bette was thinking at that very moment, Tina could only wonder.
"He’s-"
"I’m here to see Angie" The man cut in, silencing Tina in his frustration toward Bette. He had no idea who the brunette was or why she was acting so hostile toward him but he could care less. He wanted to see his daughter.
"Angelica" Bette closed the distance between Tina, the man and herself. Her tone was sharp, deadly and though the man held his ground inside he was beyond intimidated. "Her name is Angelica. Don’t your dare call her by her nickname as if you know her. You are clueless. Fucking clueless"
"Bette . ." Tina warned softly, completely in love with the brunette for defending herself and her daughter but she didn’t want things to get out of hand. As obvious as it was that Bette could defend herself, Tina still worried.
