"Are you hungry?" Tina asked as she handed Kevin a glass, "I wanted to have something ready by the time you got here but uh . . something came up"

Bette snorted as she sipped her iced tea, nearly choking on the refreshment. Tina blushed as she glanced over at her girlfriend, watching as the brunette smiled into her cup and sipped the cold drink.

"So anyway" Tina brought back the attention to herself, clearing her throat as she felt the heat from her cheeks. "I was thinking maybe we could order some takeout"

"Oh, no that’s okay" Kevin waved dismissively as he sipped his drink, "I had a sandwich at the office"

He watched the way Tina made her way over to Bette and took a seat on the arm rest the brunette had been sitting on, watching their interaction with one another.

He noticed the way Tina leaned closer to Bette’s body slightly and the way the brunette lovingly stroked her girlfriend’s thigh instinctively. They were two of the most beautiful women he had ever seen and fit together so perfectly, not that he would ever admit it.

As striking a couple as they so clearly made, Kevin couldn’t help but think that Tina looked better at his side than she did at Bette’s.

"So busy day at work?" Tina asked, breaking the heavy silence between them. She gained Kevin’s full attention, earning a confused look from the man. It was obvious that his mind had been somewhere else.

Bette glanced up at her girlfriend before looking back at Kevin, pursing her lips to hide a smile. She knew why Tina had asked that specific question and reveled in the smugness coursing through her. She was glad Kevin wasn’t going to get away with being late.

They fit together perfectly, not that he would ever admit it. Besides, he thought Tina looked better at his side than at Bette’s anyway.
