    “So you don’t think he’s being genuine?” Carmen asked, resuming their conversation as if it had never derailed. “That’s the thing” Tina sighed, realizing she was doing that a lot as of late. “We haven’t really spent much time with him. He hasn’t been around long enough for either of us to get a read

    “That’s the thing” Tina sighed, realizing she was doing that a lot as of late. “We haven’t really spent much time with him. He hasn’t been around long enough for either of us to get a read on him”

    “Wait, Kevin?” Dana asked as she figured out what the topic of conversation. “That’s a thing now?”

    “Trying to be” Carmen and Alice said in unison.

    “I just want to really see how he is when he’s not trying to be the remorseful father” Tina spoke the last two words with air quotes, “I want to talk to him, like realty talk to him but Bette doesn’t want me alone with him .. and when they’re in the same room, they spend so much time bickering that I can barely get a word in. I spend all my time trying to keep the peace”

    Distracted or not, Alice was still somehow able to join the conversation, her eyes never leaving her smiling son. “Do you think he wants to get back together? I mean that’s usually why people don’t get along with their ex’s new partner”

    “I don’t think so” Tina sipped her coffee as she thought back to her only two meetings with Kevin since he showed up, “Even if he did, I would never do that to Bette. I love her, I want to be with her”

    “So what are you gonna do?” Dana asked as Nathan held his arms out towards her. With a smile, she reached over the table to take him from Alice.

    Tina offered the same reply as the first time she was asked the same question, “I have no idea”

    “How about you invite him to the party?” Shane chimed in as she reached their table, having heard the entire conversation while she waited for her order. She sat down the drinks in her hand before pulling over a chair from another table to sit beside Carmen.

    Tina groaned as she thought about how much Bette would love to see Kevin at Angie’s first birthday party the following week, “I don’t think that’s a good idea. Bette would have a fit”

    11. I was able to reread the previous chapters and this one, wow had forgotten how much i love this story!

      I don’t trust Kevin, he is trying to get Tina back through Angie, but he will fail in that purpose, Tina is so much in love with Bette and thinking about their future.

      Loved the idea for a set up for Kevin, so that the gang can watch him in secret.

      I am so happy that you will end this story and i am looking forward to many more chapters!

    13. New to your stories love the way you write Bette and Tina!

      Giving Kevin a chance to get to know his daughter is the right thing to do. I hope really tries for Angie’s sake. But I have a feeling his INSECURITIES and JEALOUSY of Tina’s relationship with Bette will big problem for him!

      Can’t wait to see where this is headed, Tina and Bette are in love and Tina’s already thinking LONG term! :)
