“Carmen we need consent”

“For what?” Carmen asked

“To operate” Arizona stated “I need to get the baby out NOW!”

“Will she be okay?”

“She won’t if you don’t give us consent.” Arizona stated “Carmen she’s bleeding out we don’t have time for this!”

“Yes ok go!” Carmen panicked

Before anyone realised what was even going on Jess was rushed out the room and straight to the OR.

“Shit…Shit…Shit!” Carmen panicked

They were shown to the relatives’ room.

Carmen paced up and down the room making Bette and Tina nervous.

“Carmen will you sit down please” Tina said

“I can’t sit down”

“I know this is hard sweetheart but you’re going to leave a hole in the floor” Bette tried

“What the hell is happening, they wouldn’t tell me anything?” Lisa said coming in the room with Jace right behind her

“She’s in the OR” Tina explained

“OR….What do you mean OR…Is my sister okay?” Lisa snapped

“Lisa we don’t know anything” Bette snapped “Will everyone just calm down!”

Callie walked into the room everyone went silent and looked at her.

“Listen to me very carefully” Callie said looking at Carmen “Your baby is fine for the time being and so is Jess, Arizona is going to deliver the baby, do you want to be there?”

“Yes!” Carmen said before Callie could say anything else

“Carmen when the baby is delivered that’s when things could get complicated” Callie explained

“Define complicated” Bette stood up folding her arms

“There’s a high possibility Jess will crash”

Lisa turned walking into Jace’s arms as the tears fell from her eyes and she broke down.

Carmen looked emotionless

“Do you hear what I’m saying Carmen?” Callie said

“The baby is fine?”

“We don’t know, we didn’t expect this situation, if your wanting to be there we need to go now!”

“Carmen you need to go, someone needs to be with her” Bette said softly

“Ok” Carmen nodded following Callie

Callie quickly got Carmen into the appropriate attire for the OR leading her into the room.

“You’re just in time” Arizona smiled lifting out the baby “Come and cut the cord”

Carmen did as Arizona instructed however Arizona had to place her hands over Carmen’s to steady the shaking. Callie wrapped the baby up and handed her to Carmen. “Congratulations Mummy…You have a beautiful baby girl”

“She’s crashing!”

Carmen handed the baby back to Callie making her way round to Jess’s head

“Baby don’t do this to me…look I’m sorry I fucked up…don’t leave me Jess…I love you so much!” Carmen became hysterical stroking Jess’s face

“Get her out of here!” Arizona instructed

It took 3 people to get Carmen out the OR.

“JESS!”

“Come on Jess don’t do this….you’ve been a pain in my arse for 12 years now let’s not ruin tradition” Callie said “CLEAR!”

Callie shocked Jess

“Nope…nothing!”

“Again…Charging 360!” Callie instructed “CLEAR!”
