Shane and Stacey are involved in 2 triangular links, one with Carolyn and the other with Marylou.
When Alice speaks earlier at Milk of the Vicious Cycle, she speaks from the experience of having previously been intimate with 2 women who had also been intimate with one another, those women being Cindy and Sarah.
As for who has been with 2 of Alice’s exes, on the Chart Whiteboard, Hope would qualify. That means that the woman that Dana pointed at as “cute” and Alice pointed out as being with “two of my exes” would be Hope. The exes of Alice that Hope has been with are Aiesha and Roberta.
Also, the “been around the block” woman at Milk could very well be Lauren, who has 8 direct links on Alice’s Chart whiteboard, but Lauren instead will be tabbed as someone else completely in Episode 103 during Karaoke Night. At the start of Episode 103, Alice makes reference to an Anya who has apparently slept around…so the “been around the block” girl could be Anya instead.
Away from Alice’s apartment now and back to Bette & Tina’s.
Bette and Tina provide our first on-screen tongue kiss which leads to a stereo orgasm. In the DVD commentary, Jennifer notes that post stereo orgasm, Bette says to Tina, “I missed you” with Ilene acknowledging the idea of releasing another version of this episode that includes that, meaning “I missed you” may count as canon despite being cut from the episode for time consideration.
Day 16 (Sunday, November 23rd, 2003)
Jenny wakes up with Tim making breakfast, which consists of toast (of course) and scrambled eggs, which could be a representation of Jenny’s brain at this point.
Next door, Bette and Tina are on the front steps together as Shane is walking home, presumably from Twink’s place, which would have her close to where Bette is. She is still in the same clothes she left Milk with Twink at. From a secret history perspective, this could also mean that Twink was sent to do some recon work on Bette from someone in New York City and winding up with Shane was part of the plan. This also means that Shane fell asleep before Alice could call her. Chances are, Shane and Twink did a lot of talking.
Bette and Tina being happy together gives Shane hope for her own eventual happiness. This is the source of Shane’s inner conflict between monagamy and Shane Being Shane, a rather frustrating development from start to finish in this series.
Tim presents Jenny with the engagement ring. Notice Jenny does not answer immediately. Also, orange juice is part of the breakfast.
The time lapse between the end of Episode 101/102 and the start of Episode 103 could well be over a month, bringing the timeline to 2004 and conveniently skipping over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. More on that in the Deconstruction of Episode 103.
Unresolved issues from Episode 101/102 worth revisiting, aside from the cars some of the characters are driving.
The identity of Shane’s Redhead. There are many names to choose from.
The identities of everyone at Bette and Tina’s ill-fated donor party. It’s a party that usually involves invitations. Therefore, everyone in the house that night had to matter one way or the other, including Kerry, Lori, and even Lacey (who in fairness may have showed up univited). Red was also part of this party and there is also the matter of who Bette and Tina’s 3rd rejection was that night.

Hats off to Kace for his endless devotion to The L Word! I cannot imagine the patience and level of detail it would take to pull off this project, but he is committed to it. Thanks from TLW fans everywhere!
A lot off thanks for his dedication.
My applause to you.
Just awesome!
Kace, I watched the episodes that had Kit’s car shown but I couldn’t see all of the rear end so I can’t be accurate about the year but you are right in that it is a 1971 or 1972 Chevrolet Impala four door sedan. Hope that helps.
