Majority of the LGBT characters are gay, so here’s short review of the three most prominent lesbian/bisexual storylines on TV.
GLEE
I’ve been a faithful “Glee” viewer from the beginning, especially after I talked to Jane Lynch at LA GLAAD Awards in 2009. She told me to watch because it was positively entertaining and hilarious. Little did I know that Sue Sylvester will become one of my favorite character and a pure enjoyment to watch.
Kurt Hummel’s storyline was very touching and well-developed, and knowing that the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy is openly gay, I was fully expecting to see a lesbian or two in a near future. Santana’s coming out and declaring her love for Brittany was a total shocker…at least to me.
Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris), best friends that were referred to as Brittana even before that happened, had had occasional hookups but the way their story was played always led me to believe that it was more of an experiment or friends with benefits. Even when they hooked up, the scene only lasted a few seconds.
Then in one episode Santana, who has been having mixed emotions about her feelings, decided to declare her love through a song “Landslide” they performed with a guest star Gwyneth Paltrow.
(Sorry that this video is reversed, it’s the only version I could find)
