FRIDAY
8-9 p.m. Chuck (Final season)
9-10 p.m. Grimm
10-11 p.m. Dateline NBC
Chuck’s final season moved to Fridays and it will get 13 episodes, thanks to the passion of its fans that let themselves be heard. Every spring in the last few years Chuck was in the bubble and this year, when shows are being cancelled all over the place, it’s delightful news for Chuck fans to get one more season of silliness, romance, spy world and adventure. As Robert Greenblatt said, “I wanted to give the fans their due and conclude the show properly.”
Chuck will be followed by another new cop drama, Grimm, set in the world where Grimm Brother’s fairytale characters exist in real life. It sounds like ABC’s new drama, Once Upon a Time, though the latter seemed to be more unique and creative. The show centers on Det. Nick Burkhardt (played by David Giuntoli) working in Homicide department in Portland. His job is grim enough until he starts seeing things he can’t explain. As NBC puts it, “it’s a new world of police work where all cases have a storybook connection… but not always happily ever after.”
