The second drama is The Firm based on the best-seller by John Grisham, revolving around lawyer Mitch McDeere and picking up his story 10 years after the events of the 1993 feature film with Tom Cruise. He and his family spent the last 10 years in the Witness Protection and they are ready to return to their normal lives. Another firm, another crime with Mitch fighting a criminal conspiracy all by himself. Coming Sundays at 10/9c.

There are some additional midseason pilots that were picked up but have not yet been put on the schedule. Awake is a drama about a cop who “wakes up from a car accident that kills his wife and son. Trying to put the pieces of his life back together, he wakes up a few days later to realize that his wife is very much alive and his son died in the accident”. Basically, the main character begins living alternative parallel lives and solving crimes at the same time that overlap in both realities. Cast includes Jason Isaacs, Laura Allen and Cherry Jones.

Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, starring Laura Prepon is a comedy based on the autobiography by the same name by Chelsea Handler. It pictures young Chelsea Newman, working at her local bar with crazy co-workers and crazy friends. Chelsea Handler is set to appear as Chelsea’s older and pregnant sister. Cast also includes Dot Jones (Coach Beiste in Glee) playing a lesbian bully. I love Chelsea’s books. They are wickedly funny so I’m excited to see this comedy.
