Crossing The Streams 3 – A Date To Sequester

For Jillian, this experience is about being able to watch this with someone special for the first time since adolescence, knowing that she will be singing along to the songs and for once, almost feeling self-conscious about the possibility of embarrassing herself. The smile on Erin’s face during a sing along scene assures Jillian that things might go okay with this.

For Erin, this experience is about being able to not only honor the date, but to take in the idea of being special to someone she realizes is as special to her. Watching and listening to Jillian sing along to the songs during the film is amusing to her until the Somewhere Out There scene.

During that moment, Erin herself joins in, singing Tanya Mousekewitz’s lines. By the end, both are singing along in unison and the chips are placed aside by Jillian who fills that space between by wrapping her left arm around Erin’s right arm, their heads resting against each other.

The test results do not matter. The karaoke plan does not matter. Whatever happened earlier today does not matter. All there is for either is this moment together while everything around them ceases to exist.

As the story unfolds on the television, both women enjoy saying the words, “Wewease the secwet weapon!” as it is yelled out in the movie by Gussie Mausheimer. Soon, comes the moment near the end for Jillian.

    “Fievel!!!!!”

    “I’m coming, Papa!”

For Erin, it had been some time since last watching the movie, but she does remember this scene. Her eyebrows arch up and she grins as father and son are reunited. For Jillian, the scene is much more intense. Erin turns her head to the right, feeling her clutched arm shaking from Jillian’s body shaking.

    Erin: Jillian?

Erin brings her left palm to Jillian’s right cheek, feeling moisture as Jillian looks up at her date, tears in her eyes.

Jillian wants to say something witty to defuse the situation. Instead, her voice cracks offering whatever words spill out.

    Jillian: I love that paaaarrrrt…

Erin does her best to wipe away the tears from Jillian’s eyes while feeling in awe of her date’s emotions. She closes her eyes while still comforting Jillian, whose face suddenly buries against Erin’s right shoulder. Erin’s voice is soft and just as comforting.

    1. This is intriguing, maybe SPENGLER is a good spirit ghostbuster but did he have to invade JILLIAN’s body in order to talk.? The girls have advance notice about the evil ghosts that are coming, but love is in bloom so their minds are elsewhere. Cute couple JILLIAN/ERIN hope this lovebug doesn’t make them careless.thanks ps.
