    I wouldn’t quite say that. Claire took a quick look at it this time. Saw 2 missed called from her mom and 5 from Rose and about 15 text messages from everyone including Kenny & Alicia. I’m sorry, which way did you say. Maddie points ahead and they begin to walk towards the kickball game.

    Maddie
    Noticing how upset Claire is, they try to change the subject, So, Claire. Do you come to the park much?

    Claire
    Here? Never actually

    Maddie
    Well it’s pretty sweet. If you get a chance, you should try catching some frogs in the pond. Some of them are crazy big. Also, there are some awesome climbing trees around here

    Megan
    Wow, you just out tomboy-ed yourself in a matter of two sentences

    Maddie
    Don’t be hating. You know you love tagging along. Ever since we were little, she followed me everywhere. Followed me up a tree once and got stuck. She is not meant for climbing at all.

    Claire
    I don’t think I am either.

    Megan
    Don’t worry. I think its just part of her gay-super-powers that she is hiding.
    Claire was taken aback by that comment a bit, nearly tripping on the pathway

    Jeeze, Meg, why not out me to the whole world and kill everyone in your path with shock. (To Claire) I’m sorry about that. She can be a little pain in the ass.

    Megan
    Hey, you just mentioned catching frogs, climbing trees and playing kickball…why not just write “lesbian” on your forehead.

    Maddie
    Enough, Meg! Keep this up and I won’t go to kickball with you so you will have to spy on Aiden by yourself. Megan rolled her eyes and walked ahead of them with the dog. Again, I’m sorry. She doesn’t know when to shut up sometimes. If you are uncomfortable at all….

    No, its cool. Just wasn’t expecting that

    Yeah. I know a lot of people are not okay with the whole gay/lesbian thing. She just isn’t too aware of that yet. I only told her a little while ago. Luckily she is wicked cool…beyond pointing out stereotypes I fit. Can’t wait until she meets my girlfriend. Then I’ll never stop hearing it from her.

      • Sorry this is like 2 months late, but I have not been on here since I wrote that due to finishing grad school….6 days to go. But thank you. I haven’t written fanfiction before. Just a big fan of the show and I don’t think they get into claire’s character enough. Thanks for your feedback!

    3. I really like your story! I really hope you write more about Claire and Maddie’s friendship in the future! Maybe you can continue this story? Anyway you’re a really good writer and I really liked the interaction between Claire and Maddie.

      • Thank you! Claire is an awesome character and I think she has more to say then she has been able to. I think she needed a good role model to have a friendship with where there was no chance of romance. Sometimes thats just what you need. I hope to write more once grad school finishes this month. Thanks for reading! (PS, grad school is why I have not responded until now).

        • I totally agree! I really like Claire and sometimes I’m sad that they don’t give her more storyline. I think they could do so much more with her character! And I totally relate with having a good role model to have as a friendship and nothing more. Good luck on grad school! I totally understand, I’m also busy with school right now! Anyway I think you did a great job on this one!
