David – You’re welcome!
He turns his eyes to Tina.
Eric – Have you met my girlfriend, Tina Kennard?
David – I haven’t had the pleasure.
She extends her hand with a smile.
Tina – Nice to meet you, David!
He holds her hand and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
David – Nice to make your acquaintance, my dear! I am certain that I would remember if we had met before.
Eric turns to the blonde with a smirk.
Eric – I forgot to tell you, honey, that David is a threat to every man in this town.
The art dealer laughs.
David – You shouldn’t tell untruths, Eric: only to the men holding beautiful ladies in their arms!
She grins.

David Ross’ mansion, night: Tina and Eric are talking to David Ross.
David – … and we also have a tennis court, basketball court and three guest houses by the pool … not to mention the gardens.
Tina – I read on Architectural Digest that you have a few acres of beautifully manicured landscaping.
David – Yes, you can walk outside and take a look. It’s beautiful even at night. It includes several gardens with an amazing horticultural collection, water fountains and sculptures, courtesy of the original owner … who happened to be a movie producer like you, Tina!
Tina –Yes, I do know! A Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer producer in the 30’s and 40’s. He produced some of the most scenically beautiful movies at the time!
David – He clearly had good taste!
Eric – Absolutely!
Tina – Your home is unbelievably beautiful!
David – I’ll be happy to give you a tour later.
Eric – We would love it, thank you!
Tina – Have you ever considered renting it for a Hollywood project, David?
David – One time. Since my home has a Hollywood history, I felt that it should be immortalized in film. But it didn’t work out.
Tina – Maybe you should consider it one more time and sediment its legacy in the history of this city. I have a future project that is perfect for your mansion.
He chuckles and turns to Eric.
David – Eric, your girlfriend has style!
Eric – She does, David!

So here I am, reading at the same time the old and the new versions : I knew I was so right to keep all these stories I loved, all these years ago :-)

Great chapter, Tina is still in denial but hard to contain herself, and from my point of view is ready to give up; looking at Bette like a teenager who can’t control her emotions.
But that is good because she is hard to get, for Bette, this is not just attraction, it’s also a challenge.

This Bette and Tina are both intriguing and mysterious. They are both having emotions which they do not recognize and cannot seem to identify. It seems they have an attraction to the someone which is either taboo or unattainable, but seems irresistible. I love this story so far. I look forward to seeing how these two make their way to each other.
Tina is in deep denial over her feelings for Bette. I hope she doesn’t keep rejecting Bette’s advances and make Bette seek out other women. I will be interested to know why Tina is afraid to accept her attraction for Bette.

Tina so in denial about her feelings and attraction to Bette. Her mouth is saying one thing but her eyes spoke the real truth and Bette catched that.
Others can see the connection between them but her own boyfriend is as clueless as always.
Looking forward to see the story develop.
