Eric – I would love to see it!
David notices the brunette and raises his deep voice to call her attention.
David – There she is! Bette Porter, stunning as always!
Tina is startled by David’s loud voice and turns her face toward the entrance with apprehension.
The brunette gracefully walks in their direction with a sexy smile. Along the way, several people talk to her or touch her to say hi.
The blonde looks mesmerized, her mouth dropping open as she struggles to breathe. Oh my God, she is even more stunning today! – she acknowledges, her heart feeling as if it is going to come out of her chest. And she sighs deeply and silently, and takes a gulp of her drink, trying to calm herself down.
Bette – And how is my favorite art dealer?
She says, as she reaches the party of three.
David hugs her affectionately and they kiss on the cheek.
David – Much happier now!
Eric – Hi, Bette!
He grins.
Bette – Eric … how are you?
She smiles politely and they shake hands.
Bette – I’m beginning to miss you at the gallery.
He chuckles.
Eric – I’ll show up one of these days.
He points to Tina.
Eric – Do you remember my girlfriend, Tina?
The blonde hasn’t stopped gazing at her, looking serious in her angst. The brunette casually turns to her, as if noticing her for the first time, and extends her hand with a charming smile.
Bette – Hello, Tina!
They shake hands and look into each other’s eyes.

Flashback of their encounter in Bette’s gallery office, as Tina reaches for the earring in Bette’s hand and Bette closes her hand around hers.
********************************
Images of their encounter flooding her brain as their hands touch, the blonde attempts to show confidence.
Tina – Hi, Bette!
And the brunette leans in, her face slowly approaching for a kiss on the cheek, her lips fully touching the blonde’s soft skin.

Flashback of their kiss in Bette’s office. Bette leans in to kiss Tina, who seems taken when the kiss is over.
********************************
With thoughts of their kiss overwhelming her, the blonde swallows hard.
Bette exudes charm.
Bette – How nice to see you again.
They hold hands longer than a normal handshake, the brunette’s fingers wrapping around the blonde’s hand in a warm embrace.

So here I am, reading at the same time the old and the new versions : I knew I was so right to keep all these stories I loved, all these years ago :-)

Great chapter, Tina is still in denial but hard to contain herself, and from my point of view is ready to give up; looking at Bette like a teenager who can’t control her emotions.
But that is good because she is hard to get, for Bette, this is not just attraction, it’s also a challenge.

This Bette and Tina are both intriguing and mysterious. They are both having emotions which they do not recognize and cannot seem to identify. It seems they have an attraction to the someone which is either taboo or unattainable, but seems irresistible. I love this story so far. I look forward to seeing how these two make their way to each other.
Tina is in deep denial over her feelings for Bette. I hope she doesn’t keep rejecting Bette’s advances and make Bette seek out other women. I will be interested to know why Tina is afraid to accept her attraction for Bette.

Tina so in denial about her feelings and attraction to Bette. Her mouth is saying one thing but her eyes spoke the real truth and Bette catched that.
Others can see the connection between them but her own boyfriend is as clueless as always.
Looking forward to see the story develop.
