    “Thank you.” Tina says as she. Moves towards the elevators. The closer she gets to Bette’s room the more nervous she gets. She arrives and takes a deep breath before she gently knocks on the door. She can hear Bette saying come in. She carefully opens the door and slowly enters the room. “Tina?” Bette

    “Thank you.” Tina says as she. Moves towards the elevators.

    The closer she gets to Bette’s room the more nervous she gets. She arrives and takes a deep breath before she gently knocks on the door. She can hear Bette saying come in.

    She carefully opens the door and slowly enters the room.

    “Tina?” Bette lets out surprised.

    “Yeah, its me.” Tina replies carefully while she enters. “I couldn’t stay away Bette.” Tina quickly adds.

    Tears forming in Bette’s eyes, as she sits up straight in her bed. She covers her face with her hands. And she starts to cry. Tina is a little tentative with how to approach Bette, but she just uses her intuition and softly put her hand on her shoulder and gentle strokes it.

    “I’m so sorry this is happening Bette, I wish I could make it go away.” Tina whispers.

    Bette is unable to say anything at the moment. Her feelings all over the place. After a few moments she is able to form some words.

    “Tina, I didn’t want you here.” Bette whispers sadly.

    “You really think I could stay away after the phone call last night?” Tina asks looking into Bette’s eyes. “You are my family Bette, even if we’re not together. You will always be my family.” Tina adds sadly.

    “It is too hard Tina. The pain in my gut is too much.” Bette cries.

    “I’m sorry, but I will be here for you, whether you like it or not. I will not leave until I am sure you are okay. Got it?” Tina says making herself clear.

    “What about Carrie?” Bette asks.

    “We had an argument.” Tina replies as she put her bag down on the chair. “After your phone call, I knew I had to be here, she didn’t understand why I had to go. So I just left. I just left during our engagement party.” Tina reveals while taking a seat on the side of the bed and chuckles out loud.

    “It was your engagement party? I’m sorry.” Bette says shockingly.

    “Don’t worry about it. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be right now. So please don’t think about it, okay?” Tina says as she put her hand on Bette’s. Bette nervously looks down, her first instinct being pulling her hand away, but at the same time it felt good to be held by Tina again. She closes her eyes tightly, and then slowly removing her hand from Tina’s. “She’s with another.” She thinks.

    1. Carrie has no clue who Tina is. Carrie certainly is not a very mature person. Tina calls and Carrie only question is what about us or what about me. Evidently she has never had nor know anyone who ever had something come up which was a life or death situation for someone they love. No empathy and no common sense. Even if they were to marry, they would not last more than a couple of months at best.

      Great story. Wish Tina had more time with Bette before she went in to prep. It would have been nice if she could have gotten Bette calm down before she went in. I hate it that Bette got so upset. But she started to calm down, maybe it was enough.

      Great story…keeps getting better with every chapter….

    2. I can’t believe that Tina intended to marry on so selfish person, like Carrie. Tina, are you even heard phrase “rebounded girlfriend” and know what it’s mean? How you can jump from 8-9 years marriage quick in another relationship and think it’s something more than rebounding?

    3. My god, how selfiish can Carrie be, not one question of how Angie or Tina is.

      I think Tina is right to cancel the wedding, but how is it she didn’t know they don’t share the same core values. Did she jump in to the relationship like she has done before?

      I feel the sadness and heartbreak from Bette ???? Here is the woman she loves so much but needs by her side in this hard time.
