Never Say Never Chapter 1
“I’m serious, Al. You’re my best friend. I wouldn’t go there”
Alice glanced to the side as she brunette’s head came to rest on her shoulder, pursing her lips as Bette gave her best pout. Alice couldn’t resist that look for long and laughed as she shoved her best friend away.
“You better not or like I said, I’m gonna kick your ass”
—–
”Alice … Alice!”
Tina looked at her phone and sighed with realization that her sister had ended their call.
She loved her big sister to no end but there were times when she wanted to kick Alice in the shin.
This was one of those times and oddly enough, it made her miss home.
Tina often wondered if she made the right decision not only moving away but actually staying away. It seemed so drastic to her at times but the more Tina thought about it, the more she convinced herself that it was all for the best.
She discovered a lot about herself in the past few years, things that she would have never found out if she had continued to live under her big sister’s protective shadow.
Deep down, Tina knew that Alice only wanted what was best for her but the younger blonde wouldn’t regret the choice she ultimately made. Especially considering what had happened to her a few days prior.
Attraction to women. One of the things she discovered about herself since being away.
They met at a coffee shop near campus while Tina was making a quick caffeine run for herself and her study group, the memory enough to make the blonde’s heart skip a beat. The girl was gorgeous with blonde hair and the most beautiful blue eyes Tina had ever seen. They didn’t talk for long but it was enough to entrance the young college student whom may have lied about her age in order to be able to see the older girl again.
They made plans to meet up later on that week at The Planet. The only problem Tina had now was getting into the bar. Now that Alice wasn’t an option, Tina had one other choice.
Actually two and their names were Carmen and Nadia.
Tina made her way across campus in search of her two best friends, spotting them at their usual spot underneath a large tree as they sought shade from the harsh California rays. Tina smiled as she walked across the lush green grass, making a beeline straight for the girls whom seemed to be in a heated debate over iced coffee. Judging by their hand movements, Tina could only wonder what they were talking about. It had to be an interesting one, nothing dull ever came out of either girl’s mouth.

Interesting beginning. I am glad that you are doing a new story!
Bette and Tina as friends op only, we will see that, Bette has already the hots for Tina and she will never succeed to stay away from Tina and keep her promise to Alice.
So Brenda is the lady that Tina has a big crush on. That isn’t a big surprise.
Let saturday come fast.
Thanks for the update!
Interesting story.
You have my attention.
10 stars.
It’s interesting to hear them as much younger than when we ‘met’ them on the show.
I read in your author’s notes that you began with an idea for a story based on your enthusiasm over the film, “Girltrash”, and are working in the L Word characters that you like so much into your idea. That’s certainly a good way to get your writer’s block out of the way, and give your characters a framework to move through the scenes and whatever plot you’ve decided upon for your stories. Framing a plot is key, and as you know gives you the story beats to hit as you write.
Often, when I plot a story, I know I’ll never get to the heart of it in one chapter and lately it’s taken me three chapters to arrive at the finale. For me, this happens because I’m constantly enriching their back story, a very fun place to be creatively in fanfiction, if not perhaps the heart of it, as I’ve discovered.
These chapters on The Way to the climax I enjoy dreaming up their musings and anxieties, which these characters have in spades. Your kitchen scene gave a reflection of how you are seeing Alice and Bette.
I find writing Bette, and endless amusing exercise, and have taken her into amusing and dark places. She’s a complex character that isn’t only about her libido. And you have written her in a comical, good way, but do give her some depth, because on the page she can definitely take it.
My wishes of success for you as you continue to write and experiment with your ideas.

Hope to see this story continued! Like all your stories, this one seems amazing as well.
