Their meals arrive and they continue to chat away comfortably to each other as they eat. Bette smiles as Tina’s hand regularly moves to her knee, or her shoulder, or brushes slowly down her arm while they talk. The contact is casual and comfortable and almost constant, and Bette loves it.
They finish their meal and reluctantly make their way back to the club. They enter together and check their coats in the cloakroom, and then move towards the main bar. They stand together near the entrance to the room, surveying the crowd.
(Tina) We’re never going to find them
Bette looks over at her.
(Bette) Have you texted them?
(Tina) Yes, but I haven’t heard anything back
Bette nods and Tina continues to look around the room. After a moment she stops and glances over at Bette, feeling her eyes on her.
(Tina) I don’t think you’ll have much luck finding them if you’re just looking at me
(Bette smiles) I don’t really want to find them
Tina smiles as Bette steps closer to her, placing her hand on Tina’s lower back.
(Bette) Will you dance with me?
Tina turns her head towards her.
(Tina) You’re not supposed to exert yourself
(Bette smiles) We’ll have to dance slowly then
They smile at each other, and both reach for the other’s hand, making their way to the dance floor together.
They reach the dance floor and both smile as they turn to each other, Tina reaching up and wrapping her arms around Bette’s neck as Bette brings hers around Tina’s waist and pulls her close. They hold onto each other, moving slowly to the music. Bette moves her hand across Tina’s back and speaks into her neck.
(Bette) It’s been torture not being able to touch you
Tina smiles and draws her closer.
(Tina) You’ve touched me a bit
(Bette smiles) Not in the way I want to
Bette moves her hands over Tina’s hips.
(Bette) How have I possibly managed not having my hands on you for a decade?
Tina leans her head back as Bette runs the tip of her nose across her throat.
(Bette) Oh my God there are so many things I want to do to you

Tina is running scared, I hope she ends her engagement because it is the right thing to do. I would not want to marry someone who is in love with someone else. I also hope once Bette regains her memory, she remembers the time she spent with Tina. Will be interesting to read which one finally admits to the other they are in love and want them back. Is Bette’s reason because she thinks Tina would be better off with someone else? Looking forward to the next chapter. Love your story
Wow! The plot thickens. Damn you Alice but thank you Alice. They had enough cheating in their past, they have to get together again while clearly being single.
Kit’s take on the situation is very sweet. Getting to know her sister at an age that she previously missed.
Bette seems to be right about Julia. I guess Bette pretended to be with her only to come with a plus one to Tina’s engagement party. I do hope that Angie will be able to shed some more light on Bette’s behaviour towards Tina.
It’s going to be even more complicated now that Tina goes to Toronto. Maybe it’s time for some heartfelt letters from Bette.
Waiting for the next part will be tough! I’m so looking forward to it :)
Wow! Why did Bette just walk away? Why did she not tell Tina she was still in love with her? Tinas basically asked her permission to get married and Bette said nothing? The plot thickens! PPS
Well, I must say that I cannot figure Bette out. What was her thinking not to have a discussion when Tina ask if there was a chance for her and Bette before accepting marriage. Then again, if Tina was going to give Bette another opportunity to be in her life, why accept a marriage proposal with Sarah? Does this not indicate that Tina is not ready for that relationship either? That to me makes not sense either. Tina moving forward with Sarah because when she has feelings for Bette will only lead to heartbreak for both Tina and for Sarah. If I were advising Tina, I would tell her to go do some self evaluation and meditation and not to do anything until Bette has recovered her memory…. nothing with Bette and nothing with Sarah. Bette could regain her memory and conclude that her Tina avoidance was nothing but a façade’. Tina needs to make her choice based on her own happiness and if that means Bette…. it means Bette. But it obviously does not mean Sarah… for she is not “in love” with Sarah.

Yessssssssssssss this episode was EVERYTHING and MORE!!!!! That argument scene was theee best. I love how Bette was challenging her and fighting. She was trying but I understand Tina doesn’t want to get hurt again. I love this story sooo much. I’m always anticipating and counting like ok I think I’m going to see this story title pop up today. Thank you ! I’m ready and patiently waiting for the next chapter.
