(Tina) Hi

(Bette smiles) Hi

Bette leans in and kisses her neck.

(Bette) I’ll be about another hour, if you want to get going before then I could meet you at your house?

(Tina nods) Sure

Tina glances around the room at the remaining guests.

(Tina) Do you know there’s some sort of competition for which of these women get to go home with you tonight?

Bette laughs and tightens her hold around Tina’s waist.

(Bette) Well, there’s no competition at all then, is there?

Bette kisses her gently on the shoulder. Tina looks over her shoulder at her and raises an eyebrow.

(Tina) Were you aware of it?

Bette cringes and shrugs, and Tina smiles and shakes her head as she focuses back on the painting.

(Tina) And you always come through do you? Choosing a lucky winner?

(Bette laughs) No. I’ve gone home with people before but I wouldn’t put it like that

Bette moves her arms further around Tina’s waist, pulling her closer.

(Bette) Not the night I met you. In case you were wondering

Bette leans in and kisses her neck and Tina smiles and closes her eyes.

(Tina) Mmmm, good answer

Bette smiles.

(Bette) This is one of those situations you’re allowed to get jealous you know

Tina reaches back and moves her hand through Bette’s hair.

(Tina) You like it when I get jealous, don’t you?

(Bette smiles) Would that be so terrible?

Bette drags her teeth across her earlobe and Tina smiles, and then turns in her arms to face her.

(Tina) So I can also tell them to back off then?

Bette laughs and tightens her hold around her waist.

(Bette) Well, within reason. Some of them might be pretty important contacts for me

They smile at each other.

(Bette) Is that what swayed you to come over?

Tina raises her eyebrows.

(Tina) Because I was jealous of all these women fawning over you?

Bette nods, and Tina smiles and runs her hands down Bette’s arms.

(Tina) No

They smile at each other and Tina raises an eyebrow.

(Tina) I mean, I’ll admit I don’t love it

Bette smiles.

(Tina) But really I just wanted to be at your side tonight. I don’t like watching from the sidelines

She reaches up and tucks a curl behind Bette’s ear.

(Tina) And if that’s what I want, then why pretend that I don’t?

Bette smiles broadly as she pulls her closer and they both smile into a kiss.
