    Tina looks at Bette for another moment and takes a deep breath. She hands Helena her wine and they smile at each other as she moves away. She makes her way outside and approaches Bette as she is finishing up her interview, coming to a stop a couple of paces away. Bette turns from the

    Tina looks at Bette for another moment and takes a deep breath. She hands Helena her wine and they smile at each other as she moves away. She makes her way outside and approaches Bette as she is finishing up her interview, coming to a stop a couple of paces away. Bette turns from the reporter and sees Tina, and she stops and looks at her with raised eyebrows.

    (Tina) Hi

    (Bette smiles) Hi

    (Tina) If the offer still stands I would very much like to be your date tonight

    Bette takes a breath and smiles. She holds out her hand and Tina steps towards her and takes it. They smile at each other as they make their way through the surrounding media and walk together towards the entrance.

     

    Bette spends much of the evening moving between different groups, engaging in small talk and offering her insights on the exhibit. She seeks out Tina at any opportunity, including her in her conversations and introducing her to many of her associates. As Bette moves to give the group they have been talking to a guided tour, Tina meets her eyes and smiles as she gestures with her head towards their friends standing near the bar. Bette nods and smiles at her as she directs the group away to begin their tour.

    Tina approaches the bar and picks up a wine from a tray placed there, and Alice smiles at her.

    (Alice) Smooth move Tee, word is definitely out that Bette’s with you tonight

    Tina rolls her eyes and smiles as she settles alongside her.

    (Tina) Not the point of this Al, but good to know nonetheless

    Alice raises her glass and Tina clinks hers against it with a shake of her head. They all look towards Bette.

    (Helena) She’s done a marvellous job tonight. She always does of course, but this must have been quite the feat to pull all of this together

     

    Late in the evening, Bette moves on from a group she has been talking to and her eyes scan the room for Tina. She spots her standing on her own taking in a particular painting, and she stops and smiles as she watches her. She makes her way over and approaches her from behind, slipping her arms around her waist, and Tina smiles.

    4. Still pretending they are not in a relationship. I bet all my money that if Tina throws out her rules Bette will jump in immediately and official their relationship finally.

      But they get to know each other within the rules and that’s fine but i am ready for them to acknowledge they are actually in a relationship.

      One of my favorite stories! Thank you!
