    Chapter 18

Bette approaches and takes a seat.

    (Bette smiles) Hey

They all look at her silently and she glances between them.

    (Bette frowns) What?

    (Alice) You spoke to Tina?

    Bette looks around the table.

    (Bette) Ah, yes, we’ve talked

(Alice) And you told her everything?

Bette glances around the table again and sighs as she focuses back on Alice.

(Bette) I don’t really feel the need to discuss this in detail with you Al. But yes, if you must know, I did

Alice continues to watch her suspiciously and Dana looks between them before turning to Bette.

(Dana) I guess we’re just a bit confused by her reaction

Alice has a sip of her drink and mutters her response.

    (Alice) Or lack thereof

Bette looks at her and then looks back towards the hallway Tina disappeared down, considering how much to share. She turns back to them.

(Bette) She said she feels removed from the situation

    Alice frowns.

    (Alice) What do you mean?

(Bette sighs) She basically dismissed it, all of it, as just not possible in her relationship as she knows it. All of her interest was in what had changed in our relationship to make it a possibility

Bette shrugs and they all look back at her.

(Shane) That must have been an interesting conversation

    Bette looks over at her.

    (Bette) Yes, it was

She again looks around the table.

(Bette) Look I don’t think we need to have a group discussion about this. Can you leave this one to us?

Shane and Dana nod and Alice raises her hands.

    (Alice) No problem

Tina arrives at the table and takes a seat next to Bette.

    (Tina smiles) Hey guys

    They all smile at her.

(Alice) Hey TK, how was your day?

Shane slides a drink over to her and Tina smiles her thanks before turning to Alice.

(Tina) Pretty boring actually. I’m running out of things to do to fill my days

    Dana turns to Bette.

(Dana) You can’t take more time off?

(Bette) Not this week unfortunately, we’re so busy

Tina smiles and places her hand on Bette’s leg.

(Tina) It’s fine, I don’t want you to take any more leave

    Bette smiles at her.

(Tina) Angie offered though actually, I forgot to mention it

    1. Damn-it, I had a feeling it would be just as shockingly quick as the first time. Let’s see how Bette tries to navigate this one. Hopefully Tina is not as hateful towards her because Bette will not be able to be the same. Post soon.

    2. I was eating dinner. Then stopped coz i saw an update. Now i can’t finish dinner, im hung up on this one. What will Bette do? What will Tina do?? Sigh. This dramarama is sooo good. Thanks, K! PPS

    3. Well… I think that Bette is going to try to win her back…. may take a little work, but the Tina we have seen for the last few weeks is a part of the Tina who is back. Bette just has to put Tina in a position where she sees it and feels it. The desire to reconcile… Bette just needs to do her part and win her back.

Wonderful story. Thanks for the update.
