Chapter 19 – The Wilkins and the Prestons

Tina:  I have no idea. We need to just present it and see what happens. Let’s just make sure the boys are out of hearing distance. That way, if the Wilkins decline to go to Yellowstone, they won’t be disappointed.

Bette: We have not talked to Daniel about Yellowstone yet, have we?

Tina: No, but if he was paying attention this morning, either Margaret or Mary said something about it when they were talking about ordering their winter clothes. So, I would assume that Daniel heard that. And we did mention it at Big Bear.

Bette: I think Daniel and John David came to breakfast after that comment.  Well, maybe at dinner Barbara or Joe will make the announcement.

Tina:  Don’t be surprised if they want some time to think this over before they give us an answer.

Bette: Yeah, you are probably right. Okay, what else do we need to do?

Tina: Let’s go ahead and set the table. Oh, look there is Mary and Margaret.

Mary: Hello, girls. Are we late?

Tina: No. Why don’t you two see if you can make a quick center piece of flowers and greenery from the garden?  Not much and maybe add a couple of candles?

Margaret: Now, that I can do. Come on Mary, we have work to do.

They made sure that there was a water glass and tea glass at every place.

Bette:  Why don’t we have some of your sweet tea instead of wine for dinner. It’s Sunday night and tomorrow is a work day. Besides tea is a better match to your southern style dinner.

The went to the kitchen made the tea and checked the pork chops. They were going to be ready about 5:00 or 5:30.

Daniel and John David came down from the bedroom dressed in their swimsuits and carrying their clothes to dress in for dinner.

Daniel: After we swim, we are going to shower and dress in the cabana dressing room. We called Joey to bring a change of clothes for dinner as well.

Tina: Is John David packed? You might want to get his stuff down stairs so he’ll be ready to leave when his parents are.  Just put his bag and back pack in the laundry room.
