(Tina smiles) Yes
They smile at each other.
(Tina) I needed some time. I was trying to sort it all out in my head before speaking with you
Bette continues watching her as Tina looks downwards and takes a breath.
(Tina) I’ve felt completely overwhelmed since my therapy session
She raises her eyes and looks to Bette.
(Tina) I needed time to think through all the conversations that we’ve had recently
Bette nods.
(Bette) It’s a lot to get your head around. It’s been a lot for me too and I didn’t have to absorb it all at once
They hold each other’s gaze for a long moment. Tina takes a breath before speaking.
(Tina) I’m sorry for how I acted towards you when you came to my office
Bette looks back at her.
(Tina) I had planned on avoiding seeing you until I was ready to talk. You caught me off guard and it threw me. I didn’t want to give myself away, but I hated being so dismissive towards you
Bette nods and they look at each other for a moment.
(Tina sighs) And tonight was a surprise
Bette smiles and raises her eyebrows.
(Bette) For me as well.
Tina smiles and then shrugs.
(Tina) I didn’t know how to act towards you. I knew you’d figure it out as soon as we spoke, and I didn’t want that to happen with everyone here
Bette nods and looks to the floor for a moment, gathering her thoughts. She raises her eyes and focuses back on Tina.
(Bette) I really don’t want to rush you, you can have all the time you need. Just let me know when you’re ready to talk
They hold each other’s gaze for a moment before Bette adjusts her handbag on her shoulder and turns and makes her way towards the front door.
As Bette moves down the hallway Tina calls out to her from the kitchen.
(Tina) Bette you don’t have a car
Bette stops.
(Tina) Or a phone
After a moment Bette reappears in the kitchen doorway and they smile at each other. Tina looks at her for a long moment.
(Tina) I don’t want more time. I’d like to talk
Bette raises her eyebrows and exhales.
(Bette) I’d like that, if you’re sure you’re ready
Tina shrugs and smiles at her.
(Tina) I’m as ready as I’ll ever be now I think
Bette nods.
(Tina) Stay for a while, I’ll drive you home later
(Bette smiles) OK

Ahhh a new update and I’m out at the moment so can’t completely read it but Tina remembers and she knew Bette would know ahh they read each other so perfectly soulmates but they are truly the sweetest ahh I can’t wait for more every time I see there’s an update I feel so much happiness
All right! Tina remembers… that is a start for these two. Cannot wait for this conversation…. And congratulations to Shane and Alice for a successful venture in getting these two together with all the gang.
Time to take some big steps now Bette and Tina… time to put away the past and work toward the future….
