Jeanette then slid the ring on Paris’s finger

Marilyn: Having exchanged rings as symbols of your pledge to each other, by the power vested in me by the state of California, I now declare you legally married. You may now kiss your bride.

Jeanette and Paris wrapped their arms around each other and gave a good and solid kiss. They were grinning from ear to ear.

Marilyn:  Ladies and Gentlemen may I present to you Paris and Jeanette Miller-Southerland.

The attendees stood and clapped. Paris and Jeanette then suddenly started down the aisle. Bette and Tina followed arm in arm with four sets of bouquets in the hands. The photographer was busy taking shots of the brides and the brides’ attendants. The guest began to file out of the area and go to the area which was set up with hor-d-oeuvres and a bar with wine and cocktails.  The dinner would be in the small gallery. The photographer asked the brides to come and pose for a few pictures before the platform was done away with. The plan was to have dancing after the dinner and then end the night.

Bette and Tina took the flowers back to Paris’s office and then grabbed each other to steal a kiss.

Bette: Oh, Tina. I am so glad that is over with. You did great. You got Jeanette here at exactly the right time and their dresses? I thought they weren’t going to wear formal gowns. I would have worn something a bit dressier had I known.

Tina: Oh well, we did what we did based upon what we were told. I felt a little underdressed myself. But that’s okay. It wasn’t my event. Come on, let’s go get a drink.

Bette and Tina headed for the reception area. They were greeted by Angie and Suzanne.  Tina commented on how nice the girls looked. Susanne was wearing a white jump suit with several gold chains. Her red hair was done in a French twist which made her look older and more mature than the casual style she normally wore.

Angie:  That was a very nice ceremony. You can feel just how much Paris and Jeanette love each other. So, I now have another aunt officially. I am so happy for them.
