Tina: You know my car is at Jeanette’s, right?

Bette:  Maybe we can get Angie and Susanne to go get it after this is over. She’s here in her car. We have all the family cars here except yours.

Tina:  If that is the case, we need to ask her not to drink very much. If she does, then we can ask Mary and Margaret or go get it ourselves.

Bette: We will work it out. Even if we have to get it tomorrow. It’s safe where it is.

Tina: Well, if Angie is driving, I hope she is watching her alcohol consumption.

Bette:  I’ll check on her. Now, let’s go congratulate the brides.

Bette and Tina then began to work the crowd and introduce themselves to those they didn’t know. They ended up with Paris and Jeanette and wanted to see their rings. They were two identical three ring sets with two bands of round cut diamonds and a center engagement ring of a large emerald cut diamond surrounded by baguette-cut diamonds and on a band of round cut diamond. Bette estimated that each set had a total of between 5 and 6 carats of diamonds in the set.  The main diamond was well over a carat and possibly two. Jeanette was thrilled with her rings. This was another surprise for Jeanette as she had not seen the rings prior to the ceremony. She had not had time to look at the inscription and would take time after she and Paris were alone.

Tina:  Well, they are beautiful Jeanette. Congratulations, how does it feel to be a married woman?

Jeanette:  I feel wonderful.  I don’t think it has sunk in yet. Thank you, Tina for being there with me. I’m not sure we would have pulled this off without you and Bette helping us out.

Tina:  That is what families do. We assist each other where we can and we stay away when it’s appropriate. But both of you make beautiful brides. Your dresses are just perfect for each of you.

Bette:  And your ceremony was just perfect for you two as well. I love it that you got Marilyn to officiate. I didn’t know she was licensed here in California.

Paris:  She got a special one day or one time license just for us. Helena suggested that we get her and she was wonderful. I believe she is visiting them this weekend. Something about giving her sons some time to be with their children during these holidays.
