Tina: It’s going to look great. Then you will get your make-up on and then you will dress and be ready for the car to carry you to your wedding.

Jeanette:  When is the car supposed to be here?

Tina:  Paris said it would be here about 10 minutes till 5. And you will arrive fashionably late at about 5:05. And Paris will be waiting for you at the altar.

Jeanette: Tina, I’m so nervous.

Tina: Let me get you a glass of wine. You need to breathe and relax.

Jeanette: I’m afraid I going to screw something up?

Tina:  Like what? Do you want to get married to Paris today?

Jeanette:  Oh yes, more than anything than in the world I want to be married to Paris. No, I’m afraid I’m going to mess up our ceremony. We have talked it through several times but we really had no rehearsal and I’m nervous.

The teacher friend brought in a couple of glasses of white wine and handed each one.

Tina: Drink your wine and let’s finish getting you ready. So, do you know where you are going on your honeymoon yet?

Jeanette:  No, Paris won’t tell me. But I’ve packed and she’s packed and we have our luggage at the hotel we are staying in tonight. She won’t tell me that either.

Tina:  Let me let you in on a secret Jeanette.  The Porter women are big time romantics. Whatever Paris has planned, you are going to be comfortable, wined and dined and treated like a queen. You are going to be very pleased with the arrangements she made. After all, she is going to be right there with you to enjoy ambiance and accommodations. She is not going to arrange anything that she doesn’t think you will enjoy. So, relax and let Paris be your guide to your destination.

Jeanette:  Yeah, you’re right. I just need to trust Paris and her choices on this. And I do really. I am just insanely curious.

Tina:  I know. But as Bette says when she plans surprises for me: in due course, all will be revealed. And she has never disappointed me yet. I believe that Paris is cut from the same cloth as Bette and she won’t disappoint you either.
