Tina:  Yeah, you’re right.  I could end up just throwing away a whole pot of grits. I would not be happy about that.  I’ll make some on Sunday.

Daniel: Well, I can’t wait to see all our aunts and uncles again. Uncle James and Aunt Lisa are coming!

Angie:  Really? That’s great.

Bette:  Yes, I think that James and Lisa are going to have another baby in the spring. I don’t think they have told Lillabette or Jason yet.

Daniel: Why not?

Tina: They are waiting until school starts and another doctor’s appointment to make sure everything is okay with the baby.

Daniel:  Okay.

Bette:  You guys better get ready to go. I’ll get you both a snack. Do you have your water already?

Daniel:  No, we need to put at least two bottles each in our bags.

Tina:  I’ll get that for you. Pick it up on your way to the car. Go on and finish getting ready.

Bette:  Here are their snacks – 2 granola bars and an apple for each of them. And you got the four bottles of water.

Tina:  Let’s get the kitchen cleaned up and go up and take our shower. Then let’s start our overall review of everything. Around 10, we will head to Santa Monica.

Bette and Tina headed upstairs and showered and were affectionate with each other but were not intimate. Tina asked that they delay at least until the afternoon or perhaps tonight. After the swim, she was afraid she would have to sleep a couple of hours in order to get anything done if she had sex. Bette agreed that she might have to join her in the nap.

During the shower, Bette was careful to use only half the shampoo for Tina’s hair. The short hair now had almost become an obsession for Bette. She was in love with it. She loved her hair long, but the short hair was so unique and so different, she simply could not stop playing with it. Tina found it amusing.

Tina: Sweetheart, we need to get out of the shower and get to our chores. You can play with my hair later. Okay….

Bette:  Oh, I’m sorry.  I just love your hair. I am getting a bit carried away. I’ll be good.
