    Summary:
    The discussion continues.

    “I do understand you level of uncertainty, because it’s for Ashley.” Bette stated, remembering the close bond between the two sisters. “You’ve always been super determined about everything in regards to her and her well-being.”

    “Yeah.” Tina got a lump in her throat. Her emotions riding on the edge of her nerves. “You don’t know how it kills me to see her like . . .  this. That . . .  that there’s nothing I can personally do to help her any longer.”

    “I’m sure you have done everything within your power to help your sister.” Bette stated, knowing all too well how thoughtful Tina had been. As a doctor, Bette had seen countless people all over the world succumb to illness and disease. “Only science and medicine can help her at this point.”

    “Then, please . . .  please go on.” Tina rubbed the back of her neck in worry.

    Bette spent the next part of their meeting explaining to Tina exactly what steps the Porter Corporation would be taking to accept Ashley into a viable treatment program. It would be conducted at the Porter Medical facility in London. Both Tina and Ashley would travel there to England and remain for the entirety of the treatment. Bette’s team had everything planned and scheduled. James would facilitate the particulars for the sisters and act as their guide through the process.

    Ever the doctor, Bette described the processes and different aspects of the entire treatment regime that awaited Ashley once she was actually in the program. She tried her best to answer all of Tina’s questions, taking the time to enlighten the blonde on the particulars of the program. Finally, she expressed what the expectations for Ashley’s health improvement could be if her reaction to the treatment medications and therapies was positive.

    The Porter plan was more than Tina or Ashley could have ever hoped or prayed for. The blonde was astonished by the level of total care Bette and her staff of doctors had created and were prepared to implement.

    “The company will do its job very effectively.” Bette stated to Tina with sincerity lacing her voice. She knew Tina was very vulnerable about Ashley and the possibility of losing her sister. “The team of doctors and our staff are quite capable of complete patient care.”

      I’ve loved this story since the first chapter, but this chapter is everything! I love how you built up to the ending of the chapter, them wrestling with their feelings, so well-written. And Tina knows the old Bette is still there.

      Have to say, too, you nailed it in the section where Tina’s emotions over Ashley can’t be contained any longer. Made me tear up.

        Both Tina & Bette are exploring these long suppressed feelings for one another & its turning their worlds upside down once again, especially Bette.

      Sorry to hear about your family but glad it’s going better.

      Be careful with the hurricane season and take care of yourselves.

      You can feel the emotions and struggles both Tina and Bette experience, so good written
      I hope that this will be a small step in the right direction for both of them, hopefully Bette will not close down and bury her feelings for Tina again and that Tina will be gently and patient with Bette to let her open up and let her see they could be a couple again. Because they just belong together!!!

        Thanks for the words about the family – both of y brothers are ding better & the eldest just celebrated his 83rd BD yesterday!! YAY!!

        Back to Tibette & DOH – Bette’s reactions seem to be the biggest question. But I think TK will guide her along with gentleness & care. Totally agree – they DO belong together.

      • Yes, I’m very happy that the health situations with my brothers have improved! Yes, the time with my family was sweet – especially with the youngest nephews & nieces – they all so cute at these ages!!

        Yes, lots of hope & hopefully Bette can get out of her own way & learn to express herself to Tina again.

      Bette is so stubborn sometimes…and Tina is so pushy but I guess we’ll forgive her given the circumstances. I bet the next scene will be Bette running like a rabbit out of the room hahaha !

      Wounder if U and family were taken care of by a “Dr Bette & her team”?? U seemed to be quite insightful in painting that exchange.

      And of course the “lovers world” of our two ladies 4ever remains. Will b interesting to WHEN they will be able to rediscover that part. . .but FIRST! Ashley needs tending to . .

        TBH, I’ve had more than my fair share of family illnesses down through the years. But somehow we managed to survive & deal with the treatments. So, those experiences provided background info for this novel.

        Yes, Ashley has to begin treatment & that will provide the stage for Tibette to interact more closely, leading to rediscovering each other.
