Fuck Bette thought. How am I ever supposed to live with her when I can’t get her out of my mind? I should have just told her I had a meeting.
*At the gallery*
Bette was looking at a big photograph called The Last Time I and You, by Carla Marie Freed. Her eyes started watering at the sight of this beautiful photo where a naked woman was ‘just’ standing, and seeing slight movements that showed another woman touching her.
Tina stood besides Bette and was also impressed by the photograph, but not as much as she was impressed by how her tough friend seemed to tear up. She stood in front of her friend and teasingly asked: ‘You’re not crying because this is the first time you see a woman naked do you? I mean if it means that much I would’ve stripped down yesterday.’ Bette rolled her eyes at her best friend.
‘Shut up T, I love this, it’s so emotional.’
Tina slowly moved her hand upwards Bette’s body and moved her finger slowly across her collarbone.
‘T..’ Bette moaned.
Bette snapped Tina’s hand and the blonde looked at the brunette hurt.
‘Don’t’ Bette said
‘But.’ Tina whispered.
‘Fine’ the blonde said loudly so now the people surrounding them at the gallery looked at them.
Bette followed the blonde outside.
‘Tina’
The blonde turned towards the brunette angrily
The taller friend walked towards her and said: ‘You want to talk to me about what’s going on?’
The blonde sighed and nodded her head.
‘Come on, let’s go to the cafe on the corner’ Bette said
She held her friend close to her and slid in one of the booths, expecting the blonde would sit across from her, but she slid right next to the brunette.
‘So, you want to tell me what’s happening?’ The brunette asked her kindly.
‘I’m sorry Bette.’ Tina started
‘It’s just, it’s silly really…’
‘Don’t say that T, something is clearly wrong, so tell me.’
‘Well, it’s just lately I started to have this feeling that you and I haven’t been the way we used to be. Like you wanted some distance or something. Like we don’t do things together anymore.’
‘Yeah we do, we went drinking together last night, you stayed the night now we’re here.’ Bette replied, not knowing where the blonde got this information from.

Tina??? OMG… is she that self-centered??? She does not know that she is purposely making sexual moves with only the intent of keeping Bette for herself… but as a close personal friend??? She’s too much… I’m surprised that someone hasn’t brought this to her attention long ago… Age 29 and she completed college at 22? And even high school age is more considerate than this….

Crazy right, but Tina is ‘getting. receiving’ her wake up call in the next (couple of) chapter(s). She needed to be waken up a bit and let go of her naive being.

Oh oh Tina,
You don’t want to lose Bette but playing with her that way and thinking it’s something innocent and that Bette was getting used to her touches because Tina is such an affectionated person.

Tina will be getting a (much-needed) wake-up call, Henry won’t be in the picture for much longer, or will he?
I didn’t like Jodie that much either in the OG, so I changed her a bit to a more loving woman. I felt like in the OG, she wanted Bette to change too much, I think they had much more potential.
