    Chapter 32 – More Packing

Mary:  What about the dishes and things behind the bar?

Angie: The movers are going to pack the kitchen and the china in the china cabinet. I assume they will pack all the stuff behind the bar as well. Let’s leave it and ask about that at lunch.

Bette and Tina began to work on their study first. Packing the boxes of files and paperwork. They then packed the supplies and threw out a bunch of old pens and partially used note pads. They moved the lamps and the knickknacks to the dining room. They packed the books and the photograph albums and cleared out the room except for the furniture and the computer equipment. Tina had brought her laptop, so she left that on the desk. They had a little more time, so they decided to tackle the night stands next. At least half of the items in those drawers were put into the trash.

Bette and Tina then stopped and took their shower and began to ready themselves for their meeting. They dressed in some nice casual clothes with some low heals. Bette found her purse and checked to see that she had her cell, her billfold and passport and then grabbed the file and was ready.  Tina check to her purse and had her own file with the moving schedule printed out for the New York apartment.

Tina:  When do you plan on giving the doorman their envelopes?

Bette: I have them all in a large envelope which I was going to give to the head doorman on Friday. I was going to let him distribute them.  Since there are literally four shifts of doorman, he would have to give them out anyway.

Tina: Yeah, that’s a good plan. Ready?

    Bette:  Yeah…a kiss for luck?

    Tina: Anytime for you.

Bette: You look so cute. Have I told you how much I love your new hair-do? You look like a sweet angel.

Bette went to her and held her for a moment and kissed her.

Tina: I love you, Bette Potter. Now let’s get going. We do not want to keep the car waiting.

They then proceeded out the door. Mary, Angie and Daniel were taking their break in the kitchen. They were all smiles when they saw Bette and Tina emerge in their dressier clothes. Mary asked about the dishes and things behind the bar. And Tina confirmed the movers would pack that. Mary said they would be ready to start the main level by the afternoon. Bette was surprised but pleased.
