    Chapter 32 – More Packing

Bette: We will bring lunch and sounds like we will have time for an afternoon nap. We will discuss dinner when we bring lunch.

Tina:  Come on Bette, the car is here.

Bette: Bye guys. We have our cells if you need anything. Oh, and get the garbage to the dumpster please when you get a chance.

Tina then grabbed Bette’s hand and pulled her toward the door. Bette grinned and waved bye.

Tina: How is it that you were ever on time to any appointment?

Bette: I’m on time to most of my appointments my dear. Peggy made me aware how important that was. You know, I really miss Peggy.

Tina: I do too. We still have a good friend in Marilyn. I am so glad she decided she wanted this apartment. I hope she loves it as much as we did.

Bette: Did you bring the emergency medical power of attorney for Angie?

Tina: Yes. Whit actually prepared it and sent it to us. I had Angie sign it and I signed it. And once Marilyn signs it, it is in full force and effect. Angie will just need to put a copy on record at the school and at the local hospital in New Haven. We will have copies if we need it for any purpose. We will keep the original in our permanent records.

They were quickly into the car and being driven to the law offices where the closing would take place. Bette and Tina continued their conversation.

Tina: So, what do you think we should do for lunch.

Bette: I think there is an Italian restaurant in the building of the law offices. I thought we would order some spaghetti with a good meat sauce and some salads for lunch. Have them include some bread sticks and some Italian dressing.

Tina: That sounds really good. And if I remember, they have a really good sauce. Why don’t I go ahead and order it so it will be ready for pickup when we leave?

Bette: Asked them to go heavy on the sauce. We will pay extra if necessary. I love their pasta. It’s all made on site.

Tina: Yeah, and they make their own bread as well.

Bette:  I’m getting hungry. Oh, here we are.
