Tina:  Good morning, Daniel. I see you finished off the pizza.

Daniel: Morning Mom. Yeah, I was hungry. I went for a run and I did a swim this morning.

Tina:  Do you want some breakfast or did you have enough already?

Daniel: Oh, the pizza was a good snack. I would love some breakfast.

Tina:  Okay, I’ll prepare some eggs and ham and some English muffins. Maybe some grits? We don’t have any fruit today, so you will just have to make do with juice. I’ll go to the grocery store and stock up later today.

Daniel: Is Mama B still asleep?

Tina:  Yes, but I believe she will be up before too long. Did you bring down all your dirty clothes?

Daniel:  Yes Mom. I see you have a load started in the washer. I’ll help you with that this morning.

Tina: Thank you Daniel. But your Mama B will help as well. Now, do you want to set the table? Or do you want to butter the English muffins and put them into the oven?

Daniel:  I’ll do the English muffins first, then I’ll set the table. Mom?

Tina: Yes Daniel?

Daniel:  Can we call Angie after breakfast?

Tina:  Yes, we can. It will be about lunch time in New Haven, so hopefully she’ll be up. I don’t think they had anything particular they had to do today. So perhaps she’ll have time to talk to us.

Daniel: Oh, yeah, she now has a roommate: Suzanne. I like Suzanne. She’s nice.

Tina:  Yes, she seems to be. I think she and Angie will get along well as roommates.

Daniel: Do you think she liked her bike that Angie gave her?

Tina:  I hope so.  I would not know why she wouldn’t; it’s a nice bike. Now, your sister will have prepared her first meal in her dorm room last night. I wonder how that went.

Daniel:  I’m sure it went fine. Angie did okay preparing us some snacks and breakfast during the summer. I think Angie likes cooking.

Tina: Well, you know who else likes cooking? Mama B! When I first met her, she did not really know how to turn on the oven. Now, when she gets a notion, she can prepare a gourmet meal for a crowd.
