    Chapter 39 – Moving Weekend

The first truck was pulled away and second truck was pulled up to be emptied. First out was Angie’s bedroom suit, then Daniel’s bedroom suit. They were set up and supervised by Jim. Then the master bedroom suit came out. Bette and Tina came and watch. They actually liked the way the furniture was arranged. It gave a good look and was a good utilization of space. Next came a desk and some lateral cabinets which were put in the small study upstairs. At that point, the guys started move boxes into Angie’s room, Daniel’s room and the master bedroom. And two of the guys moved the New York outdoor furniture to the front porch. Then they moved the kitchen and the china boxes into the family room. Bette estimated that there were about 30 of them.

Bette: Have all the boxes been moved in?

Charlie: Nope. We have about 50 more. There are about 15 that are linens and about 35 which are lamps, knick knacks, boxes you packed which are CDs and DVDs and books. Oh, and we have some computer equipment, big screen TV and some stereo equipment.

Jim: Why don’t you put all those boxes upstairs. Did you pack the linens?

Bette:  Yeah, we put all the clean linens in plastic bags and then put them into boxes.

Jim: So, they will be ready to use or will you need to wash them?

Tina:  They should be ready to use.

Jim:  Okay, we need to locate those boxes and get out some linens for each of the beds. My guys will be here about the same time the mattress arrive and will make the beds. What about the pillows.

Bette: They are in boxes as well, since there are more beds upstairs, let’s put everything up there and we will carry down what we need for the two guest rooms.

Tina: What time are the mattresses supposed to arrive?

    Jim: 1:30 pm

Bette: God, I hope we are ready. And we need to clear a path for those to get through to the bedrooms as well.

Jim: Well, you have a set of hand trucks and I have a set. We will just have to make some adjustments. Oh, and do you want me to get someone in to mount your television on the wall?
