Tina sighed as she rubbed her forehead “Ok..Thanks Al”
“You’re welcome….Ok then…I love you…Please take something for the fever and change out of your wet clothes….You’ll catch your death from pneumonia”
Tina chuckled “Yes mother….Love you Al” she sighs ending the call and tossing the phone aside. She manages to crawl out of the bed long enough to change her clothes and take some ibuprofen before climbing back in the bed succumbing quickly to sleep.
Meanwhile in the Council Room:
Helena furiously paced back and forth in front of the rest of the council members whom she had gathered for an emergency meeting
“What was so urgent to have you call us here together Madam Helena?” Carmen asked shifting her gaze over to Kit who avoided her
Helena stopped pacing as she turned to the council members. Her pensive look making the women uncomfortable
“There is something of great importance I must share with you if we are to keep the coven and our ways as we know it intact” she begins folding her hands inside her robe “I recently met with Jasper the keeper of the Titan Goddess of the Moon Selene”
Collective gasps resonated throughout the room as Jodi read Helena’s lips
“You mean you found Selene?” She spoke as Kit fought her anxiousness from showing
“Not exactly. Jasper would not tell me where she is currently hibernating but I can assume she is somewhere in Romania or he would not have been there. He would not be far from her chamber so it must be hidden underground and I can only surmise that it resides there in the Romanian Coven’s lair”
“Then it shouldn’t be difficult for me to penetrate the lair and chamber to get confirmation” Marina added confidently as Helena shook her head
“My dear Marina you can not phase through those chamber walls. But Carmen my trusted mind infiltrator can confirm the chambers exact whereabouts by channeling Jasper”
Carmen gasped “Madam Helena surely you know I would not be able to channel Jasper. He is a keeper and would be able to counteract my powers. The only one who could possibly be able to overcome his power would be…” Carmen paused “But Madam Helena there is no way we can approach her”

I agree with Billy….. why is wrong with Tina? Why is she sweating and running a fever? She slept all day and did not realize it until she woke up? That means her internal clock is not working properly. That only happens when for most people they have been under the influence of an anesthetic or strong sleep inducing drugs.
Carmen’s sudden alliance with Kit is surprising. She seems to have a lot of unique skills that the others do not have. Being a vampire and a metamorphite is truly advantageous. Can she be trusted? Helena was able to detect Kit’ meeting with Bette, will she be able to detect Carmen’s meeting with Bette as well? Is this a trap for Bette?
Now Bette is a vampire and a shape changer with extraordinary strength. What else can she do which we do not know about.
I am a little concerned for Tina. She needs to be embraced which I take to mean she needs to become a vampire as well. Perhaps this illness is the impetus which will propel her to that decision. If she is sick and near death, she may readily consent to being embraced to be immortal and Bette’s partner. That is merely a guess…
Good story… love to see more….

I was wondering if she was accidentally infected, since one of Bette’s fangs grazed her. If Bette doesn’t turn her she will die. I obviously watched too many vampire movies. Enjoying your story.

I hope Tina doesn’t need to be turned. In fact I hope that somehow all the mystic stuff will help Bette to change herself back. Maybe it is the process of regaining more of the memory of the previous Tina that makes her body ill or weak.
Not sure if Carmen can be trusted and if Kit will be strong enough to withstand Helena.
