    Tina sighed “I really want her to go to college..I’m prepared to pay for it but she has to want it and she has been busted for shop lifting, drug possession, driving under the influence…I have gotten her out of doing any time..But she refuses to change..Maybe this will be the thing that turns her around”

    Jason nodded “She is scared shitless I can tell you that…I told her she would have to remain in holding until her arraignment which is in two weeks”

    Tina nodded and jumped as a voice interrupted them

    “Can I get y’all anything?”

    Tina smiled as she locked eyes with Bette

    “Uh yeah…You scared the shit out me!”

    “Not me thanks…I have to run” Jason replied giving Tina a smirk “I’ll be in touch” he says patting Tina on the shoulder before leaving the bar

    ”Bourbon on the rocks for you?” Bette asked  as Tina nodded “I didn’t interrupt anything did I?”

    ”Uh..No…But yes please on the drink” Tina replied and watched Bette grab a glass

    “What are you doing here? I thought since you got the job with Steve you wouldn’t be working here anymore” Tina asked curiously

    ”I’m working until Saturday” Bette replied not looking at Tina

    “Oh ok” Tina replied sensing tension in Bette’s voice “What’s wrong?”

    “Why didn’t you return my call?” Bette asked with hurt in her voice as she sat her drink in front of her

    Tina knew this conversation was coming a took a sip of her drink before wiping her lips with her fingers.

    ”I’m sorry. I had court and got back to the office to get things ready for when we meet tomorrow and lost track of time and forgot..But congratulations on your job with Steve. I’m so happy for you” Tina said sincerely but knowing she was lying about forgetting. Truth was she was scared to see Bette outside of the office because she was struggling with her feelings for the brunette.

    “I don’t believe you?” Bette replied and crossed her arms leaning  against the counter “I know you didn’t forget..Why didn’t you return my call?

    1. Well, all the pieces are beginning to line up to fall into place for Bette to guess that Tina is Chris Kennard from Westwood. Haleigh is mentioned in the diary. Joan remember Chris was Tyler’s friend and now Tina admits she went to Westwood for a year? But which year? And maybe Tina’s not quite revealing the whole truth… Bette is close to guess the author of the diary… and Bette must know something as she asked about Lacey Minton who has yet to be mentioned in the diary….

      So the investigation continues. I like Tina… everyone needs a Tina and a Bette in their life… Thanks for the chapter… look forward to more.
