    Fill in the blank …

Leigh, Bette and Tina have their bags packed and have checked out of the hotel by 8am. Monica and Kit are already up having breakfast together in the hotel restaurant by the time Bette, Tina and Leigh make it down to the lobby.

They leave their bags in the hotel bag room. Monica and Kit will retrieve them after breakfast. The plan is for Monica to drive to James and Lisa’s house to pick them up at 9:30a so they can get on the road by 10am. Monica had spent some time the previous afternoon replenishing the food and drink and cleaning the Suburban so they were all set for the drive home.

Shane and Alice hadn’t shown up in the lobby yet, so Kit called their rooms to make sure they were awake. They made their way down at 9am, and got coffee and breakfast sandwiches to go which they ate in the car on the way to James and Lisa’s.

The Suburban stretch limo created quite a stir in James and Lisa’s neighborhood when it pulled up to their house. Living in Monterey and Carmel people were used to seeing fancy cars and limos but this was something a bit out of the ordinary even for this area. Angie wanted to show Sophie and Joey so Monica gave them a little tour of the vehicle while she waited for the adults to say their good-byes.

The kids loved all the gadgets and TV monitors and sound systems. They loved the idea of having a fridge inside the car. It was way cool.

The parents had decided that they would try the summer camp idea. They would plan for two weeks, but do one week at a time to see how the girls adjusted. Lisa would stay in the area for the first few days and they would do Angie’s birthday party on the first weekend in case they didn’t want to stay for the second week.

They kept their schedule and got on the road by 10am. Kit rode shotgun so she could keep Monica company. The two women had become fast friends on the trip, and as it turned out had a lot in common. Monica not only drove for the car service she was the owner. They were both female small business owners and although they had different types of businesses they shared many of the same issues.

    1. Once again, love this update. Nice to say how you put the part of Shane from the show into this story. Nice to read some more of Shane. She’s called Yoda but apart from some smart remarks, we hardly get to know something of her. I like this chapter. Keep the chapters coming BAT, thank you, love them.

    2. GM! I didn’t make it last night either! All the long hours are catching up with me! I love it cause I’m Blessed! I have always loved Shane! She’s the type loyal friend I would love to have in my life. If I was a writer I would write a story about her friendship with Bette and Tina. I don’t mean a sexual one either. I’m off for another nap before I go have blood drawn this morning. Thanks and hope to see another update when I get back from having my blood drawn. PPS

    3. You tease! But I think I can fill in the blanks. .. Shane is a very cool lady and a loyal friend. She makes mistakes and i am glad she has the support from B&T and Leigh. She will find her way.

      Thanks for the update!
