Tina’s sniffle stopped at those words.
“I spent the rest of my time on the mountain trying to persuade myself otherwise,” Bette continued, “That sleeping with you, despite the amazing chemistry we shared, was just another brief encounter. But I was so wrong…”
Bette stopped for a moment. Tina felt the brunette tremble and then release a long breath.
“I was livid that you told me you only wanted to pursue a professional relationship with me. And tonight when you came home with that imbec… with Henry, it felt like my whole world was finishing to crumble. I never want to experience that …ever!”
The two women stood in the grand room, swaying slowly side to side, lulled gently by Bette soft and heartfelt voice.
The financier finally kissed the blonde’s crown and their bodies separated enough for Tina to straighten up and look up into warm brown eyes.
They spend long seconds staring at each other, allowing themselves to take in the presence of each other.
“I missed you so much.” Bette whispered, closing her eyes slowly as she felt Tina’s hand reach up and a thumb brushing her cheek.
“We have spent the best part of everyday over the last few weeks under each other’s feet.” Tina finally spoke reminding the brunette exactly how excruciatingly invasive the financier had been in her mind and in body over that time.
“I know,” Bette chuckled uncovering a dazzling smile. “But I really did.” She turned her face and caught Tina’s hand in hers, bringing the small palm to her lips, placing soft kisses all over, all the while keeping her eyes on the decorator.
“Tell me how much?” Tina’s voice hitched as Bette’s lips started trailing down her arm, breath hot against her skin causing her to shiver slightly.
“Very much…” Bette reassured, “Especially how demanding you can be.”
Tina huffed in protest but before she could react, Bette collapsed them both on the large sofa, manoeuvring quickly to find herself hovering over the smaller woman.
She smiled, reading Tina’s features as she saw that the blonde had taken her words just for what they meant. Loving banter and nothing else.
“I missed your beautiful face when it’s not angry or annoyed.” She added mirth flickering in her eyes as her travelling lips reached the crease of Tina’s elbow.

Thanks for giving us this wonderful story! I like how Bette finally dropps her slightly arrogant behaviour and sacastic remarks and finally confesses her feelings to Tina. Although she already kind of did that at the end of chap. 8, didn’t she? I love the elevator scene when Bette whispers “I cannot forget” to Tina. :-)
I’m a little sad that FB has come to an end but I’m happy to read that you already work on new stories. I think you are a very talented writer and I enjoy your stories immensely.

Tina was going to rebel and tell Bette where to go.Loved the slap.Bette was so arrogant at times.So full of herself..but in the end she managed to sweet talk Tina
and profess her true feelings for her.

I’m really sad to see this end, this was a portrayal of Bette and Tina that always had us wanting more. A pity we didn’t get to see more of their life together. Maybe we could have a few snippets of their life, before and after their marriage and pregnancy? Here’s to hoping! And even if that’s not possible, I’m glad to know you have other stories in the works! I’ll read anything you write. :)

I loved every bit of this story! Beautifully written with such an amazing storyline. I had a feeling there was a connection between Bette and Tina’s father and your story was brilliant in how it came together. I love how he knew there was something between even though he didn’t say and how persistent Bette was. Absolutely brilliant! And the ending perfect!
